    What I think is more interesting is that this is social human nature. Its something you can't fight, but its something you have to recognize to understand yourself and keep yourself from doing incredibly stupid things. If anything, denying it is a part of you is just as delusional as living it without realizing it.

    Luggage carousel is out of the security zone. Checked baggage can carry things that non-checked can't carry. If you could interact with checked baggage in the security zone you could retrieve these items. He was implying that batteries wouldn't be allowed even as checked baggage, due to the danger.

    I remember when I was a kid, didn't know what to call myself but wanted to say I believed in science. Was interested in Christian Science and Scientology due to that. Holy hell was that a wrong direction.

    That conclusion isn't supported by the data. It is however interesting to note their earlier study about cleanliness, specifically that people who commit what the person considers a moral transgression they seek to cleanse their physical body. Something being clean seems to certainly have some sort of unconscious link if you take both of those studies into account. Interesting stuff.

    I seriously doubt that. Everything from the lack of back-lighting to the inability to perform staining to the much more basic fact that some cells are so small that just light can't resolve them. Still, you could get to the point of being able to see cells, even if you couldn't get to the point of removing a cell at a time.

    I think environmentalism is a third axis, with the first two being authoritarianism and planned vs free market economy. Environmentalism can both be seen as protecting property rights and protecting the country regardless of property rights. It also can be achieved within a perfectly liberal society, as I don't find many people who argue the right to pollute is a basic human right. In addition, countries with historically planned economies, such as China and the USSR were notoriously anti-environmentalist/pro-industry.
