Of course I helped then out by replacing the board with an afforadble ECS model or an ASROCK. Still sad that many single mothers and people on welfare, shut ins etc. that I help out were stuck with the cost, while thinking they were getting a good deal from DELL.

  8. Evil overlords on Nielsen Ratings To Count Online TV Viewing · · Score: 1

of mass media only profit from perceived returns. As long as the masses pay for their TV through satellite and cable services they remain content. As more and more move towards non traditional mediums they will devise defensive situations to corral the media hungry into their pens. It is basically a cattle herding effect. The more viewers they can prove, the more they demand for their ad space. My family and I have become rebels in that respect, as we have not had a paid television service in over 5 years. Unless you count online fees for internet access. All our television entertainment comes from Netflix, Hulu, and DVD rentals and purchases. When I share this with people they are stunned and aghast that we can even survive without paid TV in our homes. The day we cancelled our satellite, the operator called us liars when they asked what service we would be switching to. As our answer was that we would not have cable or satellite. It is beyond the average persons comprehension that you can survive with out paid TV. Try it you will like it was my answer. The added time and freedom of not being saddled with monthly payments for television is a gift that will repay you many times over. Buck the system dump the cable and satellite.

abound everytime the name Nvidia pops up. Im not sure I understand how buying and adapting PhysX into the company makes the company a bad guy. If you have Nvidia and PhysX capable hardware... then in games that are coded for it they will look prettier, more realistisc perhaps. If you do not have the hardware you wont see those effect. I do not understand how that makes Nvidia wrong or open to ridicule. I would think the comments that are negative may be biased because the poster had a bad experience with an Nvidia product. People need to exhale and relax....it's all small stuff.

to say that possibly the manufacturer packaged and shipped these chips with inadequate cooling ? The best chip of any manufacturer is susceptible to heat failure. Why is it all Nvidia's fault, seems to me it should be a shared responsibilty. They need to come up with a viable solution and compensate the people who may be affected.

is what we want here. The people playing and paying just want to know that the others also playing are playing by the same rules. When you program your computer to take over and make all the decisions while you go out and sun on the beach, it is not fair to the other players. Fairness and trust is what is being broken here. Laws and words aside common sense is a much better rule of thumb. People need to just play fair.

The link scanner and web shield that caused the issue were an optional part of the install. As such they can be disabled seperately from the antivirus component. Thus once again, a knee jerk reaction condemning the entire product when it was only a new feature that was an optional add on was causing all the trouble. AVG is still good antivirus. I noticed increased load times and issues on the browser as soon as I installed it and disabled it quite promptly. Its most distressing that such a fine product can take a beating for a simple fix and mistake. Its not like they out and out tried to crash the internet or steal all our credit card numbers.

game companies.. need to put some real loot in the game.... gas discount cards, fun tickets to go to the movies or discounts on outdoor activities. At least that would give some players a better reason to log on than mindless hours of grinding and crafting. Sure , that would shoot them in the foot. Not really I say, then you get a player wins a gas card.. they are on the road not logged in but stll are paying 14.99 month for something they do not use. Sounds win-win for the game company.
