They used to have a prominent banner when downloading which said something to the affect of "Guaranteed Spyware Free" I don't see that message anymore.
My god the number of Android security vuln's is a dang deluge. They really need to address this growing problem it is starting to seriously damage the brand it seems to me. I suppose this is the typical extension of being so open.
We've finally reached the feared global warming feedback loop tipping point scientists have been dreading. There's nothing we can do to stop gobal warming, at this point all we can do is adapt. Bummer.
I work for a federal agency trying to implement this. It is a wonderful idea with many benefits but it is very expensive to implement. It's not just a matter of scanning documents. The scans have to be verified error free and a lot of meta data has to be manually input on the document. Mandates like this are so often passed down with out giving the agencies the resources needed to carry them out. So we so often end up getting half assed implementations.
Heat is bad for sperm in the testicles that is why you have a scrotum -- to cool them. Could it be that the heat from the laptop sitting right atop your crotch could be the problem and not the WiFi?
From what I understand Europa is bombarded with massive streams of deadly radiation emanating from Jupiter's radiation belts. How could life possibly exist much less come into being?
Justice Stephen Breyer told Deputy Solicitor General Michael Dreeben that, “If you win this case, there is nothing to prevent the police or government from monitoring 24 hours a day every citizen of the United States.”
I've listened to scientists on the many Earth Science programs on Nova, Frontline, National Geographic, the Science channel, the History channel, etc for many years. It seems pretty clear that we have reached the feedback loop tipping point and climate change can not be stopped at this point. All we can do now is adapt to its coming. Bummer.
I seem to remember from biology class that cells had a size limit due to the need to transport nutrients and throughout the cell quick or the cell would quickly die. We did a test with, I can't remember the name, Alger, by placing it in dye to see how long it takes to penetrate.
Mobile phones are Group 2B Carcinogen. "Possibly carcinogenic to humans. More study required." The same classification as Coffee, Pickled Vegetables, and Talcum Powder.
I very much dislike Google, not google.com, UI's. Gmail's interface is clunky and functionally inept; besides the fact that it goes down about once every couple weeks. Chromes interface is so very unintuitive and minimalist as to be incredibly frustrating. Don't get me started on Youtube. I get used to the interface and where things are then they change it and I can't find anything. I get used to that then they do another unannounced change. They seem to do this every few months or so.
From a user perspective I really hate flash. It is always getting corrupted and than needing to be re-installed. And the reinstall is often equally problematic it refuses to install or the existing one won't uninstall. It can't be replaced too soon for me.
Guess from which industry the SOPA bill's sponsor, Lamar Smith, received his largest campaign contribution. Drum roll...the TV/Movies/Music industry. http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/summary.php?cid=N00001811

Livermorium, holy yuk! That's worse than Moland Springs [tv sitcom reference]

Take a look at the Freakanomics and Super Freakanomics books. They talk all about how irrational folks are with financial decisions.
I have a one finger gesture to Apple I'd like to patent.

I think it was the virgin Mary getting jiggy with it.

"Gravity 'can' distort time..."? Gravity always distorts time.
Wait till all the members of congress start getting these annoying calls.

I so very much hate Flash and Reader. They work so unreliable and get corrupted so damn easily and then can't be reinstalled.

Slashdot. You really need to start using your Borg icon for Apple articles just as you do for Microsoft articles.
duh
Hehe, for the first time Chrome warned me that slashdot wasn't trusted when I went here this morning.
Must have forgotten to feed the hamsters I bet
