This will cost me in being moded down, but it is about time, if you tell some one to disarm and do not follow up, well why should they disarm. The UN as proven it has no teeth. Who is going to care about international law if the UN has no power. If iraq wants to play game with weapons of mass destruction, then we have to stop him, fuck the UN.

The reason france and germany do not want a war, is because they are breaking international laws by buying from iraq and selling to them. No wonder they don't want an attack it will hurt them in there wallet. I say good, if they support the theorists then they deserve to be hurt.

Also I wonder where binlauden is, could he be hiding in iraq?

Finally I love this flash movie.

  12. Re:Content on The Myth of Radio Spectrum Interference · · Score: 1

Also I forgot i have heard interfere, when to people try to key up on the same freq, there is a effect that happens most of the time. this is that one will "win" or they have the stronger signal and you can hear them but there will be a buzzing or a hum on it. other things that happens is that neather will "win" and you just get this humming and not voice. I heard this once, there was this buzzing, and you hear one of the transmiter, then they would fad into the buz, and the other transmiter would come out, then they keep swapping back inforth for the total trasmiting time for both of them. Here in pittsburgh we call it doubling.

  13. Content on The Myth of Radio Spectrum Interference · · Score: 1

I would say that the spectrum is open to any one that wants to use it rightly. It is very easy to get a ham ticket. And this way it will alow the airs to stay clean (in content) in this I refernce CB is a very dirty (content wise) band.

I feel that CB shows why we can not just open up the freqs up to just any one with out haveing the be able to get one with out the threat of repecutions if you don't follow the rules of the air, ie keep it clean, no explitives on the air, there is other things to.

Also there are safty issues, RF can have a negative effect on the human body, but if used proporly the effect can be minimized or even numified.

For all of these reasons I do support the need for a licence to get on the air for comercial or amature rasons.

  14. Here is what I do when I am out of my house on Geek Roadtrips Through the Heartland · · Score: 1

I have the wireless web added to my Sprint's plan, I also have the cables for my cell phone to my laptop and my palm, I would be hesitant to take my laptop. I would take my palm pilot. the cell phones (on 2g networks, if you have a 3g network you probably don't care about this) is only good for e-mail, and a palm pilot can do that well. I don't know the reason for your trip, if it is just a there and back again, I would leave the laptop at home, but if you are going to be at your final location for a long time take the laptop, this just MHO so take it for what it is worth.

The Sprint PCS wireless web is only $5 more a month, and I can now use my voice minutes for the web (I have 300 peak and unlimited off peak, also unlimited pcs to pcs calling)

Yes this seams nice to be able to get the music just as you buy it, but what happens when your hard drive crashes (yes people should back up, but they don't) That is why a CD will still be best, you can rip it and have it, but if you lose the mp3 you still have the hard copy to recreat the mp3.
Infact since I have the CDs I don't bother to backup my mp3's if I lose them I just re-rip, I do backup my other user files (anything in /home/mpop nothing in /mnt/jukebox will be backedup)
Now maybe if they will charge maybe $1 more for a cd and let you download the music now, so you get the music now, and still get the hard CD later, for backup reasons.
