    Actually, it was written as one book. The publisher said "Hell no, Mr. Tolkien." So it was changed.

    So PETA should simply shoot those two people in the head and then burn down their houses. That's what I would do to someone who kidnapped and tortured my child. You are saying the response is valid in the case of the doctors, if I feel it is valid in the case of my own child. So encourage PETA to do some animal rights sniping and arson.

    For what it's worth, I would not do that in response to your child being treated so. If you don't care enough about your own child, why should I?

  20. Yeah, I hear those vegetable farms don't use a single drop of fuel for their tractors and harvesters. And their canning and packaging plants run on fairy dust and rainbows.

  21. I know a guy whose family will shoot a deer any time of the year. If they need more food, and don't have the funds to buy beef at the store, they go out into their property (large and heavily wooded) and get food the old fashioned way. They just don't advertise that fact. His neighbors all do the same as needed. They only do it when needed, so it's not enough to wipe out the local deer population.

    The freezing point of pure water is 0 degrees Celsius. The freezing point of salt water is -2 degrees Celsius.

    You should change that to ocean water, or at least the salt water in the ocean. Salt water can be of greater salinity, which would lower the freezing point accordingly. Other than that nitpicking, your post is spot on.

    Have you seen a dog lick peanut butter off the roof of its mouth? It doesn't seem to be a very efficient method of removing food from what the food is stuck to.
