OK people who deliberately obfuscate themselves online it would be very difficult to match them up but the vast majority of the rest of the users will have filled out their details accurately and used the email and probably the same god damned password they will be easy to match up

Anyone with better physics knowledge can comment here? Why would you use lasers to measure differences between matter and anti-matter? As far as I know, the only difference between the two is supposed to involve the weak force rather than the electromagnetic force (on which light is based). Considering that these guys aren't idiots, I must be missing something. How are the lasers useful?

Given there's no such thing as an antiphoton how would you measure the spectrum of an Anti-Hydrogen atom? Laser is the only way to do it.

Like many of the proclamations from the UN, such a ban will have little influence over the development and use of "killer robots".

It will, however, prevent large scale deployment of these weapons to war zones but there will of course be stockpiles just like with chemical/biological weapons.

That seems like adding a whole lot of overhead and existing a pretty wide attack surface just to afford the use of development tools more "familiar" to (some) developers.

If they can guarantee that the devices will be kept up to date then the attack surface would be relatively narrow, however, we all know all to well just how good Google are at getting their Android Vendors to pass on upgrades.
