There is nothing to prove as everyone already knows it. The trick is getting senior management to stop ignoring it but that might be tricky as they are probably as incompetent anyway.
Yes but why the hell did we make so many fission reactors when we could have made LFTRS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_fluoride_thorium_reactor Cleaner, Cheaper, Safer and can be safely decommissioned in a couple of years rather than the best part of a century.
But what do we do in 20 years when the IPv6 address space starts to run out? Think I'm kidding? I can remember when people thought they'd never fill a 20mb because it was so huge!
Bearing in mind the IT Market is constantly shifting if they carry on the way they have then they are pinning their hopes on Intel/AMD bringing out the next range of processors at 30Ghz. Its not likely to happen. They never capitalised properly on the mobile space although they have a long history with Mobile Phone OS's.
No doubt whatever they do they'll keep up their long history of pissing on the hand that feeds them:(
Wow what a nothing issue. It's not accurate because it's tied to the machine I view it from??? Then it's the fault of the end user. The BBC have taken the correct approach to this issue they've decided we're too stupid to have a clock!! The scary thing is I suspect that in general they are correct.
I saw this and thought is this news? Hackers were caught (Well spotted if not incarcerated) using bot nets to generate bitcoins last year. And one of the principle bitcoin engines is written in Java script just so you can add it to your website. News What News?
Speaking as an Agilista. Just because you're doing Agile doesn't mean the project won't fail it just means you spot it going south earlier and thus save money by pulling the plug before you do six months additional work. Of course even in Agile you can have bad management which can make a project fail.
Hmm try desk/laptop sales slump as processors fail to go perceptibly faster so too do sales of Desktop OS. This isn't a re-run of Vista; Vista was a pig.
My only gripe with W8 is the Metro interface is flat you can't have a tile for one application and then have all the tiles for it's other components underneath. Other than that it goes like stink. I believe the low sales have more to do with desktop/laptop sales plummeting.
I got a ZX Spectrum when I was 13 this was when having a home computer was a relatively new idea. So I taught myself on there, then on the shite commodores (Vic 20 and the Pet with the built in casset tape drive) they had in school (I was better at it than the maths teach who taught computer studies though he always beat me at calculus:D). Then I got some actual work experience (Dbase II on a Dec laptop circa 1985) then I went to college and learnt some more (Cobol etc) and I'm going to stop now because this is starting to read like Mien Camp:-/
Yep certainly had the Agencies cut taken off my agreed salary for three months before (I did complain). No mention of what Language/ALM they work with. Given that I know hundreds of Devs (Some of whom already live in commuting distance) it would be nice to know what skills they are looking for.

Can't they sue the pants off of these guys and then repent afterwards?

Can we impose the same minimum cap on sentencing for banking god knows they do far more damage in a day than hackers will in their entire careers.

So this research that they claim that the whaling is for would appear to be market research???
