Bravo sir! I'm glad Slashdot isn't dominated by socialists yet, because in Reddid it's really hard to read anything related to politics without getting angry.
I'm sick of gnome 3. Gnome 2 was so damn good, I like it a lot, and now I just hate this Gnome 3 so much! I'm installing kde 4 right now. Let's see if it's better than this crap.
I love using it.
In my company, vim is mandatory for programmers. It certainly boosts a lot my productivity, and with the help of ctags, minibufexplorer, grep, vcscommand plugins, it's even better. Beats any other fancy GUI text editor.

My main beef with it (solved by recompiling) is with fonts. I like the old fashioned font called "fixed". It derives from the ancient, non-scalable standard bitmapped font which came with X. It also happens to be very readable and to my eyes looks much sharper than the anti-aliased fonts.
I think you don't get it. The iPhone without jail-breaking is just a useless brick. With jail-breaking you can install ssh, install mplayer (more video formats supported), and many other useful cydia apps.
Peter Sunde gave two presentations last week here in Brazil. On the first one he talked about the history of TPB, and on the second one he talked about TPB services. In the end of one of his presentations (I don't remember witch one) he was asked, if someone offer to buy TPB for some money, would they sell it? His answer was that they would do what's the best to TPB (He said some more things also).
I don't know why but I felt he was hiding something.
I have a HP laptop, and everything is working just fine. I had some trouble to make wireless work since it was a broadcom, but with ndiswrapper it's working now. Actually I don't know what could not work. Did you tried the last version?
I aways thought people was exaggerating about how bad vista was, but last week I got one hp laptop loaded with vista, and I can tell, vista is big piece of shit. It takes around 5 minutes to boot, 20 GB of hd space, and more 10 GB to recovery partition. I just installed ubuntu 8.10b on it and now it's really fast and useful.

That's the main reason that I use vim from xterm.
haha perfect song for this
Well, I've never used Arch Linux but on Debian and probably on Ubuntu it's very simple: sudo apt-get install gimp gimp-resynthesizer.
Maybe they should try "kill" their parent process first.

Nah, they are still the same.
...not taking shower can be harmful to your social life ;)

After this I believe.
Damn, that was fast! I shouldn't have underestimated that thing! =D
I tried that and it's pretty amazing! There are too many dead links though. ;)
Why paying 185k for a TLD, if you can get one for free

Well, in my opinion there are no best or worst way, what exist are the ways you like and the ways you don't like.
For example, I like codes this way:
if(expression){
}else{
}
Anyway, thats my 2 cents.
For those who don't get it ;)

OMG, I used to play that game a lot on my 486! Tried it on wine, and worked perfectly. ;)
I wanted to help them with their download record, but http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ doesn't seems to work. Maybe I'll try later.
it's just me or wine http://winehq.org/ and firefox http://www.firefox.com/ websites aren't loading?? :)
Strange coincidence
It took me about 1 minute to download it here. Im glad I could ssh to my work`s pc from home ;)
