and an existing market in place (big car companys) aways whine that it is impossible to make a different and better car, and then someone with little experience and little resources, comes along and makes something revolutionary. It's good to get a fresh perspective to shake things up, get all the old fattys that have fallen into a rut, moving again.
I particularly like the idea that we could give whales some technology to fight back against the huge, fast, explosive harpoon-armed whaling technology presently employed by Japan.
I fully agree, they should take this opportunity as a free product testing session and study what is going on there and then learn from it to fix the product. It's win win! someone gets to be "733t" and the vendors get leads on making a better product.
If you're going to broadcast your television programs, and whatever other data people transfer by satellite to anyone in the whole continent I don't see why you should be so up in arms about someone happening to receive and record that information.
The problem is the Corporations don't like it and they have more power then a bunch of un-herded sheep. Together the sheep have the power but with so many rumours and misinformation it's easier to divide and conquer them then the few CEOs that hold all the power of the corporations.
I do agree though this is horse shit fluffed up and polished to appeal to the sheep.
I agree I am sure it will be only a matter of time till the farmers have developed artificial meat. what with all the cloning, cross breeding and genetically modified feed an all.
But hasn't Macdonald's already accomplished artificial meat?

we must put an end to these terrorists! they are stealing our freedoms!... uh to sell you stuff and get rich... these do gooders.. I mean no gooders, must be punished for trying to do this to our profits! it's theft plain and simple!
64 bit After Effects, then i can finally do away with all the frame buffer errors and memory full type errors, making High def and film go smoothly. Or at least see them less frequently.
And as some people were talking about higher bit depths, which does have no bearing on the bits of the processor, it will be nicer to be able to access more frames at once while in 32float (thats 32bits per colour channel x at least 3) eats up more ram per frame.
not the age of information. there are so many conflicting opinions out there that people are either becoming zombies of one opinion or distanced from any opinion due to the confusion. this type of over saturation of information I think is only leading to the complacency of the people.
In the end this is an excellent propaganda machine.
totally honest here. while I am guessing there may have been something else going on, I have no idea what, cause I rebooted the machine, went into task manager and killed what ever I could that didn't seem important. and it still did it.
I honestly don't know a lot about vista so far, but I had a better, and more enjoyable experience setting up a computer with Mandriva the other day. (aside from a few screens popping up with russian instead of english for some reason.)
my wife just got a new Vista Laptop and against my better judgment, I recomended that one as the hardware was much better then the same priced XP laptop. So when we had it at home with all it's 2 gigs of memory, It did not have enough memory free to install the printer drivers with nothing else running.
I haven't seen anything like this since MS orfice on a 486.
and all this talk of addressing 1 Terabyte has got to bring to mind, "Why would anyone need 1 Terabyte of Ram?" (sarcasm)
can the American public be forced to stop thinking due to the penalty of being taxed for it? my thoughts are my Intelectual property aren't they? atleast until someone finds a way to read minds. I guess the only way to tell would be to scan thoughts in which they would then be public thoughts and then public domain therefore not taxable. would childrens thoughts under the age of thirteen be non-taxable?
I should stop thinking, I think I hear the IRS coming.
The making available argument is like blaming shop keepers for having goods available in their stores that could be readily stolen. It's not the theifs fault, look the store just had them sitting there!
how is it that a country of 33 million is a bigger hot bed of piracy then China's population of 1 billion? is this a per capita thing or something? or just cause the lobbiests are trying to scar people with crazy stats and propaganda?
yes but it is a domino effect and when all things work out we don't run out of dominos. the industry is always months ahead of what is actually on air. they are almost wrapping up episode 12-13 of BSG but we haven't even seen episode 3 yet (razor was episode 1&2)
The way it is now though is even if the strike is over now, viewers may not notice the gap in the dominoes till late spring or summer. I on the other hand depend on it for work and my end date is rapidly approaching with the stop in the flow of scripts.
for instance I am currently on ep 12 of unsaid show, which airs next week. but it will only go till ep 15 in which case I will be joining thousands of other crew that will be out of work till the new scripts come in. this could take months before my dominoes are up again too.
actually I Included that when I submitted the article! since BSG is in it's final season it currently got cut short to 16 eps. now hopefully it can go out with the full 20-22 eps. and finish as intended.
How many of these 100 million were honest to goodness, "I'm going out to buy Vista" rather then the "I am getting a new PC but it came with Vista, so I am going to have to use my old XP disk on it when I get home". I bet the sold number differs from the registered users numbers
because If I have to pay for this automatically you can bet I'll never pay more for a CD again.
I don't download music, and I do value a tangible CD's. I prefer to convert my own cd's to mp3's so they are done right instead of trying to download something of such poor quality that it sounds like it's got it's own extra rhythm of ticks and pops.
If I am forced to pay 5$ a month because I have internet, I will never pay the 15$-20$ per CD again, so I guess it would be they're loss.
and here I thought I was supposed to hit the "pay" button or some silly nonsense. sheesh, they should perhaps mention this somewhere in the i-help, I guess I am just not i-teligent. hahaa See I can put i's infront of everything too! hehehe!
So I purchased an I-tunes gift card for $20 the other day expecting that with that alone I could actually buy some stuff from I-Store. On the packaging for the card it states that you can not refund or return the card. Ok, well it shouldn't be a problem, why would I need to do that? so I go to the I-store to get some stuff and low and behold now It needs a credit card!
Why the Frak would I have bought an Frickin I-card if I had a fricken credit card! nowhere on the card does it say this! In the I-help it says that it is possible to sign up with out one but where? how? there's no way to do it!
This is a pile of I-BS and is a I-scam.
I am not really a Mac fan, though I am a user. and this I-pisses me off about ever being a fricken I-fan. oh but there so easy to use and so friendly! pretentious BS.

yeah like lasers mounted on there heads!
Whales with frickin lasers on them!

Watch for them is the sky coming to your neighbourhood soon. this message brought to you by the dept. of Homeland security.
If you're not doing anything wrong...
why do you lock your door?
why do you have a pin # for your bank card. what are you hiding?
It's not just privacy it is also security.
The government would never lie to it's employers (The tax payers)
and I'm sure that the iPod touch software developers like to eat hot meals and sleep indoors.
they can, the company provides Microwaves in the kitchen and the space on the floor under their desk is warm right next to their computer.
I kid, I kid!
Thanks for the Link, I'll check that out tonight.

But seriously thanks for the link.

it was originally called Dungeon Siege, at least in production, but then before release it was changed to what it is now called.
