From now on, WonderWoman will only wear approriate non-demeaning attire. No more tight pants. Trade them in for a pant-suit or business dress and a PDA.
And please refer to her as WonderPerson, its less shovanistic.
Another huge difference can be in how they set up the TV. I bought a poloroid 37" lcd basically just because it was on sale and it had a VGA in. Anyway, after messing with the setup for a half hour, it now looks better than the ones that cost twice as much in the store. I don't mean it IS better, just that its hard to go by looks in a store, without checking resolution/contrast etc..
You can do that already. Say, install a small linux distro like puppy (or a big one) onto a flash drive, and make it save persistantly. The OS loads into the host computers RAM, and everything that would normally go to the hard drive goes back to your usb stick. I mention Puppy linux because I am not up to speed on my Linux command line, and it allowed me to install it to usb drive and make it persistant in about 3 clicks. I put it on a Western Digital 80 gig usb, effectively giving me more storage than I would ever use before getting back to "home base".
Wow. I'm so sorry. I can think of nothing worse than a bunch of over-persistant financial advisors trying to get thier hands on a portion of the money YOU have earned.
Severs, yes, more power to them. You are right vista kicks huge ass. I, or anyone else in my company hasnt had too much problem securing pc xp boxes though, so it doesn't justify a switch. Most security breaches we come across have to do with social engineering, disgruntled employees with privledges, or things like leaving passwords set at default and so on... things that no new operating system is going to help.
You are right. Vista is probably harder to exploit...right now. I mean, I had a hard time finding the "Run" command so I could type CMD. Let alone write some exploit. But givin time it won't be much different, after everyone has had a while to work it over...then M$ will come out with more service packs.. and the process repeats..
Thats awesome. I imagine it would cut down on the amount of pervs. Why doesn't russia invent a pervert finding bot, backed up by a serial-killing bot-net posse.
Unless they get a chatbot to pick up all those idiots who try to get laid by 14 year-old girls. That would be cool, then we wouldn't have to watch that goddam "to catch a predator" get replayed on tv all day long.
Ok, enlighten me... you need to see the monitor when you're typing ( for the most part ), so exactly why do you need to be able to roam around with your keyboard, or be able to type outside from a float toy in the pool? I get the "uncluttered and cool look" but other than that? Do some of your offices actually put these on the budget?
Do they expect that it will detach itself from the space station in search of a new world...appoint itself govorner of said new world, then return in shackles to be made prisoner by the spitefull europeans?
You are most definately right. I, for one, am all about pushing back against "the man". What these laws/judgements/rulings do, is pretty much describe what is admissible in court. It seems like common knowledge that someone is out there listning to everything, everywhere. What they can use to get a warrant or as evidence in court is the issue at stake ( i think ), in which case there does need to be a significant counter-force against the government and there use of terrorism and such things as an excuse to 'legally' spy on U.S. citizens. I didn't mean to say we should bend over and take it, but wrong or right... we have to be carefull about our communication. It will be used against us either indirectly or directly. ( like them knowing a mob boss killed a bunch of people.. but most of thier evidence was inadmissible, so they got him for something puny, and give him the max sentance )

..and make sure port 139 is closed, and they have changed the pass to anything but "admin".

iCant believe apple thinks they can outsmart the world by creating the first unlockable phone.
Obiously he is not a real slashdoter, or a wii owner.
I'm not so sure about the mass-produce part.
you use windows? anyway, what does it mean, if its not unix-based? its just a random file type they picked out of the blue?

Never. Matter of fact, those calls cause me to turn off the lights, turn on the police scanner and nervously pace back and forth for a few minutes.

..if it will come with a sponge to wipe up the puddle of molten Alienware components.
Is opera that bad? Oh wait.. integrated email in your browser.. oops.
So now I need to buy penis-enlargment pills AND and anti-virus.
86% of all statistics are wrong.
