All we need now is for the government to arrest all the religious people for interfering with atheists (and we are all born atheists) and the world will be a better place.
Yep. I've always maintained that raising children to believe in religion is child abuse. It fucks up their mind enough that they'll believe in irrational, superstitious bullshit.
There are far too many dimmer switches out there for this to be technically feasible at this point.
Not true anymore. I replaced the 3 bulbs in our dining room light with dimmable CFLs. Also replaced 2 tri-lights with tri-light CFLs. They cost a few dollars more but the savings are worth it, I see a real change in my hydro bill every month with CFLs being the only difference.
What's perhaps equally interesting, however, is the implication from sources that say Cingular's exclusive 5-year deal with Apple applies within the United States only.
duh... perhaps Cingular isn't used outside the US (or very much?) They aren't in.ca, for example.
He's going to need attorneys very soon. By hacking the DRM he committed a violation; publishing the hack would just add insult to injury - perhaps a lawsuit for supposed 'damages'. But he has already broken the law.
He's a Canadian and broke no Canadian law. He might be snagged off a flight by the local Gestapo if he flies through a less free country though.
Greylisting is great and all, but I'm left wondering what OpenBSD has to do with it... Can you name a single operating system that can run an MTA that can't do greylisting?
Durr... This isn't on the MTA, this runs on the firewall or gateway before the spam touches your MTA. It saves your MTA from having to deal with this crap before it ever touches it.
Telus used to let you choose your number so my last 4 digits are "GRUB", that's why I want portability!:) (and I'm cell-only, haven't had a land-line in several years)
Yeah that sucks. I've been quite happy with Telus but this phone is a deal-breaker for me. I hope.ca has number portability by the time I can buy one!;)

You live in Canada, most likely if someone in the States' really wanted you badly they'd just get you extradited.
He committed no Canadian crime. You think

It's a widely known fact that Canada is responsible for 50% of the HD DVD piracy.
The problem is all those HD-DVD bootlegs are cams done in Montreal.
Part of me wants them to find a proper fix for these holes. My CableCo phoned me because I've already gone way over my quota this month.
"Public access equals government censorship"
I've been parsing that for a few minutes and it doesn't make sense. How would open access equate to some sort of closed access?

OpenBSD's greylisting in spamd works wonders.
Every time you buy some "MADE IN CHINA" shit from WalMart, etc. you help bankroll this type of crap.
When more HD movies are released they will probably be posted as 2-6GB avi files.
There are lots of HD movies being distributed in x.264 format. They fit on a DVDR and are usually 1280x720. Source is usually HD satellite or cable.
who breeds rabbits the size of dogs.
Why don't the North Koreans just continue to eat dogs?
Decent list but always remember...
LEMMY IS GOD!
The hero keeps firing his gun at the oncoming zombie, shouting "Why... wont... you... DIE!"
Because this zombie has the head stuck up its ass. Hero will have to aim at the lower torso for the Win.

Thanks for the new sig!
Hehe, similar thing has been my sig for a long while now.

I wish there were a "well duh" mod. :)
I wonder if [...] anyone alive then will ever know what they looked like today?
Sure, they'll Google "pillars of creation" on their IPv1024-connected computers.
Astronomers think [a] supernova's shock wave knocked the pillars down about 6,000 years ago.
Just as the the Earth was being created!
I had to wait two minutes to post my correction as well :) Clicked Submit and realized my error.
duh. I meant 1700 years.
Christianity had no state support until AD 313.
The Bush family can trace its genealogy back 700 years?!
He runs a Maq, you run a Toad?
