    All we need now is for the government to arrest all the religious people for interfering with atheists (and we are all born atheists) and the world will be a better place.

    Yep. I've always maintained that raising children to believe in religion is child abuse. It fucks up their mind enough that they'll believe in irrational, superstitious bullshit.

    There are far too many dimmer switches out there for this to be technically feasible at this point.

    Not true anymore. I replaced the 3 bulbs in our dining room light with dimmable CFLs. Also replaced 2 tri-lights with tri-light CFLs. They cost a few dollars more but the savings are worth it, I see a real change in my hydro bill every month with CFLs being the only difference.

    What's perhaps equally interesting, however, is the implication from sources that say Cingular's exclusive 5-year deal with Apple applies within the United States only.

    duh... perhaps Cingular isn't used outside the US (or very much?) They aren't in .ca, for example.

    He's going to need attorneys very soon. By hacking the DRM he committed a violation; publishing the hack would just add insult to injury - perhaps a lawsuit for supposed 'damages'. But he has already broken the law.

    He's a Canadian and broke no Canadian law. He might be snagged off a flight by the local Gestapo if he flies through a less free country though.

    The problem is all those HD-DVD bootlegs are cams done in Montreal.

    Greylisting is great and all, but I'm left wondering what OpenBSD has to do with it... Can you name a single operating system that can run an MTA that can't do greylisting?

    Durr... This isn't on the MTA, this runs on the firewall or gateway before the spam touches your MTA. It saves your MTA from having to deal with this crap before it ever touches it.

    When more HD movies are released they will probably be posted as 2-6GB avi files.

    There are lots of HD movies being distributed in x.264 format. They fit on a DVDR and are usually 1280x720. Source is usually HD satellite or cable.

    Yeah that sucks. I've been quite happy with Telus but this phone is a deal-breaker for me. I hope .ca has number portability by the time I can buy one! ;)
