You can use them more than traditional batteries. It's kind of like how an NiMH AA rechargeable battery holds roughly half as much charge as an alkaline would, but you can recharge it 4-600 times or so and thus get 2-300 times more use out of it.
The potted plants on my desk grow towards the side with two visible lamps instead of the side with one visible lamp. Does that mean they can count?
Bacteria will migrate towards the side of the petri dish with a lower concentration of toxins, does that mean they can count?
Honey bees often fly towards the garden with more flowers.. etc. ad absurdum.
So, what makes the mosquitofish special?
Depression has a tendency to go in cycles. It's possible they'd be like that with or without the meds. Interesting that they don't realize after a couple cycles that staying on the meds might work, though.
It will never cease to amaze me how so many people fail to consider how these 72 souls promised to them managed to live their entire lives as virgins. Sure, maybe one or two might've been vestal, but by now they've probably had to start padding the numbers a bit.
.. it would be a good thing. Every second that a business made a customer wait they'd have to pay a fee to IBM. That would be a great motivator to enhance queue efficiency resulting in lower wait times for all.
Gun control is a state's rights issue. What you're proposing would effectively ground whole states, and in most relegate flying to an, "elite" subset of those currently eligible. Sure Vermont and Alaska would be fine, but it would be impossible to fly in or out of michigan, and only residents of New York and California would be allowed to board a plane in their respective states.
To obtain a pistol in the US requires a significant capital outlay and, in most cases; at least two background checks, a licensing process, and some training. Regulations are significantly more lax with, "long guns", weapons such as rifles and shotguns adjudicated too large to effectively conceal. However weapon of about a meter in length would also be of little use where one has scarcely enough room to comfortably position one's limbs and probably wouldn't be up to TSA standards. This being America we're talking about there'd be lawsuits and the airlines would have to keep a stock of.38 specials and frangible ammo onhand to distribute to potential passengers who are firearm-challenged and many of them would probably buckle under the financial burden.
Most importantly, this would only deal with hijacking attempts. Suicide bombing would still be as effective as ever... except now someone could blast a hole in the side of the plane and push the bomber out before detonation, but how likely is that?
It's, " couldn't give a shit" meaning that they value, "open and free[sic]" less than fecal matter. Otherwise you are saying that they value it as much as or more than shit; Which, in most contexts I'm aware of, is saying some value above zero.
Don't see how spending money to offer people the choice of supporting someone you don't agree with is evil, but, it takes all kinds.
I've tried to use GIMP a few times, without using the manuals, but after a few minutes of getting nowhere I've fired up a Windows box and used photoshop (also without a manual).
... Funny, I've had pretty much the opposite experience. What sort of stuff were you doing where photoshop was intuitive? My experience with Photoshop is tantamount to my first experience with vi: "wtf? Normally when I type/move the mouse and click stuff happens. OK, this was a bad idea I should've stuck with emacs/psp, how do I close it?" I guess it has more to do with what your previous experience prepared you for than anything else, but I find the idea that photoshop is easy to use quite novel.

First they stole IP from $BIGFACELESSCORPORATION I didn't speak up because I wasn't $BIGFACELESSCORPORATION.
yadda - yadda - yadda... there was no one left to speak up.
Considering that things like nitrogen and oxygen molecules have trouble staying together at that height what makes you think a cloud of hydrazine, which is highly reactive and thermally decomposes at o K, would survive long enough to precipate out over, "several hundred square miles"? Would ~454kg (1,000 lbs.) of hydrazine even be toxic spread over an area of that size?

Maybe they were planning on using a nuclear or ionic rocket?
If you can't counter the arguement cry victimization. It worked for... well, it had to have worked for somebody, right?
Covertly funding a site who's viewpoint saves you money does look a little bit suspicious, though, doesn't it?
Will be created by clearcutting whole tree farms to make the paper a case of this magnitude requires.
Is that a friday?

When you loose it makes you the underdog, so your final victory will just be that much more glorius when fate smiles on you once again.

OK, so a brand new computer every other week.

Actually, codeine, a narcotic antitussive in quite a few perscription cough medicines, is an opium derivative.
When did they start putting warning labels on fast food? Is fast food addictive?
I seem to recall it was possible to dub your beta tapes to vhs back in the day too.
I was just worrying about how to solve the problem of campus networks not having enough http traffic these days.

But is there a list of these somewhere?
Wouldn't " beelzebufo" mean, " Lord of the Toads" in some unholy fusion of greek and latin? Personally I think that's a cooler name anyway.
Perhaps, but you don't hear people whining about cheap westrn-European knockoffs, or mid-western-American knockoffs much.

I guess it has something to do with water being a good absorber of long-wave infrared. Maybe our friends at the wikipedia can help explain that.
