Windows does not remove the file you are transferring until the transfer is complete. If the transfer stalls, the file will still be in its original location. Plus if you are transferring multiple files at the same time it still does it on a file by file basis (transfer file 1, file 1 transfer complete, remove file 1 from the old location, transfer file 2, etc...).
I haven't had a good experience supporting Latitude models D410 and D610. The company I worked for at the time actually dropped their contract with Dell and switched to Lenovo. The only thing I liked about them was that they were super easy to work on.
I have only had one issue recently with XBL. I wasn't able to log in for about an hour 2 days ago, but since then I haven't had any issues.
Most of the people that bought this probably think that Ubuntu is a new version of Windows.
I'm still glad that I didn't accept the position with EA Chicago back in March.
This is correct. I was offered a job there back in March of 2007. I guess that I am lucky that I accepted another offer.

There has been a lot of talk on forums about recent disconnect issues with people in certain regions of the country. Between Comcast and WoW, I mean.
For the last couple months there have been times where I can only play WoW for 5 minutes at a time before dropping.
Seriously. Insert Apple, Lenovo, Fujitsu, Dell, etc.... I swear that 50% of the posts are ads.
