    It is worth noting that SHAW is increasing it's Cap on its higher end rape options, i mean subscriptions. June 7th 2011

    Shaw's High Speed plan caps for High Speed will jump from 60GB to 125GB. The Extreme from 100GB to 250GB. Other plans will at least double their monthly allowance.
    as well, Videotron and Telus have increased there Caps to 170GB and 250GB

    The CRTC has put a hold on that still, as far as i knew.
    It will be nice though when the major providers open that back up.

    Canada is going to be SO far behind the in the internet economy in a couple years.

    I have often thought it will only be a matter of time before our Cars would have access to other cars habits.

    If enough cars were fitted with its own GPS systems, and these systems recorded its average movement, this information could then be shared to other cars with in its vicinity, share not only its average commuter information but the average commuter information that it has gathered for other cars around it too.

    Basically a tether of info, ideal for rush hour traffic. The GPS systems can then take all this information, Current and historic, and help direct the best coarse of action for each driver on a per second basis.

    Agreed,

    Rather then 10 make it 12 or 16 even, 10 makes it future proof, 12-16 gives businesses a opportunity for other channels. The cost will go down as they implement anyway.

    sorry i should have said "making it less a "serious" gaming console in the eyes of many "serious" gamers."

    I too chose the PS3 over the Xbox, for all the above reasons. It is a serious gaming console. and by serious i think we mean, Great graphics, and hardcore games.

    The Wii 2 may have equal quality in graphics next time around, but the Wii 1 is some how is not thought of as serious... It has a very large library where most games are intended to be FUN. but fun isn't "serious" anymore. Zelda and Mario have been pushed aside for blood and guts.

    As for a PS4, if they could take the PS3 and improve it as much as the did from the PS2, i would be in for sure. i doubt a Wii 2 would be able to compete, but we will see.

    This is why Folding at Home rewrote their code, to work with the PS3.

    if your code is designed for the Cell processor from the get go, you will have an affordable setup.

    New Cells are smaller and run cooler now too, so there also the savings in energy.

    If Sony do keep shitting all over us, I might actually just decide not to get a PS4 though. I really didn't expect that I'd ever choose a Microsoft product over any other, but if the only serious gaming choice is between Windows (and potentially OSX), PS and Xbox, I might end up going Xbox.



    While the Wii is obviously not serious, the next Gen system line up will be hard to judge at this point whether who's is more serious. PS4 may be more of a Entertainment AV Receiver (minus the Amp) making it less a "serious" gaming console. Who know where M$ is going to go.

    These cheep games are great, for 5 - 10 min at a time. They have no story. No intrigue. No production value.

    Compare Agree Birds to Mass Effect.

    AB = Fun no brainer game that keeps you coming back for more... but really its the same thing over and over.

    ME = A Story, a movie, voice actors, interaction, PLOT...

    A similar question might be

    Why aren't Production Games Killing Movies?

    At 5 times the cost of going to a movie by yourself, (or renting a movie), that is 1.5 – 3hrs you can buy a game and get 1 - 3hrs of cinematic scenes + 50 – 100hrs of play.

    Teaching kids Metric doesn't cost anything.

    In Canada we learned it along side imperial, and the only headaches were those from kids constantly calling our elders dumb for having such an archaic system.

    well if we are going to to look at it that way, then perhaps Rich, White, land-owning men's spoiled kids are the perfect raters.

    They play for hours on end, have all the accessories, and chat online about there lives—I mean their games.

    you'll find it is often faster to find what you are looking for in a site through google.

    try searching for a youtube video in youtube or google, sometimes its easier in google, just have youtube in the search.

    in your case, try looking for what you need... if you don't find it in the first pass, add ehow to the end of your quarry.

    I like the MS online world. N should go for something like this. It's not geeky, kids and parents get how to use it. and its quite powerful.

    What i would like to see, is a media console.
    Something that will play all my music and/or videos. Something that can compete with the Apple TV or Boxee.

    I don't think that ghost related shows are too much of a stretch for Sci-Fi, (not that i watch them or know anyone who does for that matter)... Th Fact that they chose Wrestling tells us they have no clue.

    In Canada we only have Space Network, and it sticks mostly to that. unfortunatly it doesn't have the budget to help shows like Stargate to stay on the air. So SyFy drops them and picks up shows that other networks already have thinning out the profit for everyone.

    I don't see the tablet being a Fad in anyway, it is possible however that Apps may see a dip in popularity in the future.

    If the competitors to the iPad can get just enough of a strong hold on the market to live more then a year, App developers may choose not to develop their app for 1 or more platforms, rather just make their App web based, or built into into the product.

    While there will always be dangers in nuclear energy, the Fukushima reactors are not CANDU. This catastrophe would not have happened if they were... or at least the damage would be far less... and would 'likely' not ever got to this point.

    That's not to say the CANDU system is not perfect. there are lots of down times and accidents happen.

    What is strange though are the places in which these plants are located. Understandably they are often located on the edge of a large body of water. But why did Japan decide that the east coast was better then the west coast?

    The west coast has less effects by earthquakes, and hardy would be hit by a tsunami. Also, If there ever were a meltdown and it made its way to the water, it would be better off on the west coast so as to have less of an effect on the rest of the Pacific Ocean.

    What are the advantages of the East?
