    What's being searched? My understanding is they aren't accessing your phone and making it tell them where it is, the police are just homing in on a signal that your phone is emitting.

    Seems to me the best why to deal with this is to just add more to privacy laws, just like other PII, a person's location is protected information.

    You might have trouble connecting the Kinect to you computer as well. From what I understand there are two Kinect models, the stand alone and the one that comes with a new xbox. The standalone can be connected to a computer it has a USB cable and a PSU. The other one has a proprietary USB cable that also provides power to it, I don't know if that will work with a PC.

    Did this with my Dog, took about 5 years though. At first if I went into my brother's room, where the dog slept, I would break out with horrible allergies after 5 minutes.

    Antecedal Evidence, myself. I grew up in a more rural area and did spend a lot of time outside as a kid with my two brothers. I was the one who played in the compost (grass/leaves) heap the most, eventually I got sick and broke out in hives. Now, I'm allergic to penicillin and the only one in the family with seasonal allergies.

    It has always bugged me that all of this research is taking place at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and not at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

    They didn't put a filter on for you house, I had the same situation for a while as well; instead of looking at my bill to see if I was being charged I called them. Still took them 6 months to actually get someone out there to filter me, and it was after a storm so I bet they were actually there to do other work.
