Heh, the times they are a-changin'. Someone else also got modded troll for suggesting that Microsoft speech engine might somehow be involved. What next, picking on cheney and big oil will be trollworthy? If I get modded troll for this, at least I'll be in good company:p
You are right that this isn't a flaw in the browser or OS as many others have also pointed out. I don't have experience with codec installation on Macs, so I think it's a natural question to ask if other 3rd party codecs require administrator's password to install and run correctly. If that is standard procedure, then it's harsh IMHO to blame the users - if this however is something that users normally don't need to do, then I'm all for blaming the stupid end user...
Well, I think the article is not referring to big specialty beasts like major telecoms, banks etc. At least I understood it to apply to small companies whose major focus isn't software, eg they talk to a CIO of some nutritional company... It's talking about using wikis, cms and mashups (whatever that's supposed to mean) for knowledge distribution and doc collaboration, some of it isn't too stupid IMHO
You're words are wise, but your abbreviation leaves me puzzled. Had you said TINSTAAFL instead, it would have been an even more logical text!
(I kid, it's the same thing)
What is it with modding comments offtopic if you don't find them funny? If I had mod points, I'd be too cheap to waste them on that. Anyway, I at least semi-giggled so it can't be completely offtopic...
Well I know I'm not supposed to RTFA (damn noob), but it states that the ps3 machines were given to the guy after he asked Sony for them. So the GP seems perfectly spot on - the "nobody plays games on the ps3 in general" part is only in the Slashdot presentation, and there's some similar bashing in the article's intro...
sheesh, politicaly iNcorrect comments are so offtopic :p
Troll, say the sarcasmo-challenged. Can I patent that word?
That only applies to the US, and only there as long as none of the major carriers gives in to the inevitable pressure for non-restriction.

Sense of humor, arbitrary urban legends. Why, you insensitive clods! I, I well I don't have time for this, got some brain-eating to do.
He who has the lowest UID wins. But there's also a certain kind of glory in being the one here with the highest UID :p

Why the fsck is the PP modded troll? Looks to me like legitimate concerns, very similar to many other posts on the topic.

You realize we have an awful lot of info on you - wouldn't want anything bad to happen would we? Anyway, I like being called Mr. Cloud :o)
