I agree that it does not matter how much he/she makes, but the original poster's point of them being "money grubbers" does not hold up for me either. IITs spend more on every student in terms of facilities provided than they charge as fees, education being substantially subsidized at the IITs by the government. The professors are a mixed bunch, some of them are awful yes, but some of them are experts in their field and very good at teaching too (not always found together).
And oh, next time you feel so insecure about the size of your member, its best not to draw attention to it in a public forum. Your post degenerates to a troll, and I won't be surprised if some mod soon comes along and does the needful.
It still isn't a bad idea to have some subtitles. It's not too hard to add them and would save a lot of inconvenience (going back and forth to exact times in youtube videos is not the easiest). Making the videos more accessible/user-friendly will only widen the audience, which is what they have been put up for in the first place.
will translate into probably very little if any profit when you figure in the bandwidth and them eating the credit card fees, Credit card fees should be a very small percentage of the total, not significant enough on a per sale basis
The article states: Both galaxies are situated about 1.4 billion light-years away from Earth.
and then goes on with: The offending galaxy probably began assaulting its companion about 1 million years ago...
If the distance is 1.4 billion light years, light from the event should be taking that much time to reach us, and something that happened only a million years ago should not be visible yet.
Not every invention you see started off being perfectly usable. That's what development is for.
The very cellphones that one will be using this on were not exactly convenient to carry around once upon a time, were they?
It shouldn't be all that hard to grade
One way is asking the other contributors to the project to grade the student's contribution to the project, and the professor can then apply his/her judgment to assign the final score (if at all needed)
Makes things so much simpler and better with the student making genuine efforts to contribute, the open source project getting an extra pair of hands and the prof not having to do the bulk of the evaluation/grading.
I guess they decided on a slightly more subtle approach
Are you accusing the *IA of subtlety? Suing grandmothers and small kids isn't exactly subtle is it.
How many of you have made the switch to internet-only TV, or are considering it?
sounds like the perfect topic for the next poll

all of your bases are ours
but, but.... Apple Corp has always been at war with Apple Computers
First look I read the title as 'Why not ruin it' :)
From what I know, they charge less than 2% (unless you get to the really low prices like less than $2 or so)

What am I missing here?

..does it play Linux?
yaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh!
so finally all the people who quote statistics about one's chances of dying in a road accident being greater than in a plane crash will be wronged
perhaps a better measure (granted, still not perfect) to look at would be GDP per capita on a PPP basis
why can't people just be disciplined enough to switch off their monitors before leaving for home/office?
whatever happened to Moore's law?
or missing airline luggage
In totally unrelated news, a mass exodus of teenagers who were erstwhile Facebook users begins

Looks like Intel and AMD just found themselves a new dry cleaner
You could have put in the meaning of life in that hyperlink, wouldn't matter, no one here reads the articles anyway.
:-)
Why would anyone pay to get a link saying 42?
