Such a thought-terminating position to take, anthropomorphizing nature, to caution others not to venture where it isn't safe. Ageism at its best. Puberty in women is usually between ages 15 and 17. There's not much happening at the age of 18.

So true- it wasn't till the second service pack for outlook that it became even usable. I remember syncing mail would take a god 5 minutes (whereas it was a 10 second ordeal on outlook express), and when I was syncing mail my entire computer would slow to a crawl. I almost ditched outlook altoghether, but I figured, last ditch effort, get a few updates... and sure enough it's not deathly slow anymore.

How something managed to escape their offices with such horrible usability issues is just a wonder to me...

#1. They use the same censorship bar for Tom Cruise when he get's Mohamad's "goo". Clearly the censorship bar was a plot device

Ever since the last update, playon has had to do a screen capture instead of decrypting the original stream. That gets far less performance and kills my server.

Also I have to point out that the article mistakenly compares paying $10 for hulu (on demand) vs just watching it on "tv for free". I wonder if the author of the article still lives in his mom's basement.

The problem isn't the principles, it's the fact that most people adopt principles from what they've learned from society, and never take it upon themselves to analyze the reason for their principles. They never ask themselves if it actually makes sense according to their current belief system. My theory is that once you start asking "why?" it's a short road to existential crisis. Most people avoided philosophy class (or didn't pay attention) because it rocked the boat a bit much..
