If he really wants to build 5000 cars a month, there will HAVE to be some crazy network of conveyors, they'll be making about 250 cars a day.

You don't push those around on carts by hand!

Everything must come together in a continuous process, an uninterrupted flow of parts in, cars out.

They're not there yet, and that's why they can't make it work. Running at 10 percent capacity with parts missing (or incorrect) everywhere along the line. Piles of sub-assemblies sitting everywhere that can't be completed. Ok this part is in, these 20 pieces can be completed up to the next screwed up part of the process.

I've seen that happen. It sucks!

This just happened to me two days ago, one of my friends was over, and she was on Facebook while I was finishing up work.

I'm not on Facebook, and she was not on my WiFi.

I was talking about work, and mentioned the raspberry pi. She had never seen nor heard about a raspberry pi, so I went and got one of mine, and was talking about it for about 2 minutes (foreplay lol) and our conversion ended when she got an ad for raspberry pi starter kits!

A couple hours later, we were talking about birth control, and I brought up a condom that broke years ago.

The next morning (yesterday) she was getting ads for Plan B.

She finally realized it was time to delete her Facebook profile.

Any idea what would happen in there was a major disruption to the internet?

Let's just say for that for a day, there is no internet connection between the US and China.

When the disconnect is made, China will continue to mine Bitcoin, and the US will also. To the now individual networks, doesn't it appear to be just less miners mining? It should look like a power failure at a major mining facility took out a bunch of miners. No problem, the rest just keep moving forward.

Instantly you have different versions of the blockchain.

Now when the US restores its internet connection to China, how would that be reconciled within the network?

    Cheers
