I worked in customer service for a large company, and I could see every cost, and price associated with every product we made, from service parts, to complete units, and you are correct.

We doubled our cost when we sold it to the dealer, and they doubled their cost when selling it at suggested retail.

There were a few things that we completely raped people for (a $3 shaft for $120) but the majority was the double double.

While I was there, I learned another valuable lesson for the double double, and that has to do with scheduling projects. My boss would always tell me to double the amount of time I thought it would take when planning a project, and he would then double that amount of time when scheduling resources. Something he learned in aerospace:) but you didn't want to be the reason something was held up! We had a similar problem with model year, don't bite off more than you can chew:)

    Cheers!

Modern electronics are pretty good at dealing with electrical interference. We used to test with a 25kW Marine radar to be sure it wouldn't cause problems with our systems. Once everything went to surface mount components, and 4+ layer PCBs, the robustness, and noise immunity of electrical components increased significantly.

    FAQ:
Q: Why are there changes to my bill / plan?

A: We'd love to give you more affordable internet packages, but unfortunately the political climate in your area prevents us from being able to give you a custom tailored plan that is more aligned with your usage.

Recent regional mandates have required us to update the services offered in your area, and unfortunately the package that you currently enjoy can no longer be offered. This is not the desire of BigTelCo, but we will continue to provide you with the most affordable service available that meets your local requirements.

It is important to note that not all customers in all areas will see changes to their bill, and changes will vary depending on the current local requirements at your specific location.
