and they haven't priced in the future value of the hydrocarbons wasted.
The hydrocarbons are stored. Hopefully in a stable landfill.
A few hundred years from now, the people from the present time who are cursed will be the tools who clamored for high-temperature trash incinerators. There will be a sharp cutoff in landfill value for the people of the future strip mining them for resources. Landfills from after the 'greens' came to power, the resources stopped being stored and were simply destroyed will be of less value.
The part that dismays me is that if Rand Paul had stayed out of the Republican primary and ran as the Libertarian candidate, he might be President now.
110 baud is almost exclusively for an upper case only ASR-33 terminal. Even back when I first BBSed, with a DecWriter paper printing terminal I bought at a thrift store, it was at 300 baud. I suppose we could wrangle up a 55 baud Teletype too, if necessary. But the reality is, except in the early electro-mechanical era, it was always 300 baud or greater.
Will Alexa be able to identify that it is in a brown paper bag in a trashbin? How accurately will it be at identifying the sound of a spring loaded center punch releasing into it's charging port? Will it initiate a timer to count down to it's battery death?
I would say spread low cost 'watermark' emitters widely, so the watermark sound is present everywhere. A low cost emitter could be a common accessory, so that every concert, bar, and public gathering place would have a few humming along. Maybe even an emitter app people could run on their mobile device.
The Heritage Foundation did no voter suppression.
'Unsuitable.'
We need to explore that point further.

People are encouraged to have children because sex is so pleasurable.
I know, you're so doctrinaire you probably never though of that.

Also, lots of slashdotters hate Apple.
We've done so for a long, long time.
It isn't angst or anger, btw. It's an understanding of what kind of company Apple has been for a long time.
Thank you, cadre Ping. Your social credit score just earned two points!
Remember we have to navigate through that shitstorm at some point to get off this rock,
We don't have to get off 'this rock' though I can understand the angst, as you and your types strive to convert our biosphere into a barren rock.
Go watch your sci-fi space cowboy fantasies and leave the earth alone.
Well, at least all the people who think of themselves as web 'developers' should be relieved.
There is no 'cleaner layout' than plain markup with HTML.
So website designers have decided that the privacy notification requirement means they need to set a cookie.
Go figure.
iBooks requires a hardware dongle that I am not interested in.
PDF is a terrible format for ebooks. It constrains the formatting to a 'layout' that is size defined.
Commercials? Where would we see commercials?

You're welcome, whoever you are.
No, maybe not.
Just like Stephen Spielbergo!
NetBSD definitely should not be considered a serious distribution. Which really is part of the point.

Correction: google is never your friend.
I got the requisite Google+ account when the hype train was in operation, but I won't notice it at all when the service goes away.

The killing of a Saudi citizen?
The killing of the journalist was worse than deplorable, but he was not a US citizen.
Nobody knows if that is your real name. Anybody could sign up with it.
It seems to me that you are here always pushing an ideology to try to take over the world.
