All the worse because we are now on a global scale where virtually every other country suffers a lower standard of living than us - which means they will work for less. Robotics technology is following the same price/performance curve as any other technology. Eventually it will become sophisticated and cheap enough to replace most human manual functions.
You want to be snarky? Go ahead - enjoy it and feel good about yourself. But remember that the professional world in which you play is a VERY small one, and word gets around.
We have a rule in the US that a human must make the final call before delivering any ordinance, be it by soldier, drone, or robot. The problem is that many foreign countries that figure this out won't have this moral impediment. Yes, this is worth worrying about...
Huh? The magnetic bits start to lose their little minds after 10 yrs. Yes you need high band width a to d (at least 20 bit) but that is cheap these days. And it all comes down to the speakers reproducing the music since they add so much distortion the original sound is lost anyway.
Apple made their mark controlling and simplifying the user experience to achieve broad market appeal./.ers will inevitably want them to go the other direction and load up the feature set, as all engineers will. Without Jobs, the engineers will get the upper hand and the feature set will expand, thus losing their broad appeal. Unless someone else comes along who can stand up to the engineers, Apple is toast.
I really mean this - not intended to be flamebait. Without Jobs, Apple's grasp of the perfect user experience will give way to engineers' insistence of packing on new features. The products will become harder and more cumbersome to use, and the premium Apple charges for the perfect user experience will be shunned by the market. And then they will be toast.
I can think of several: hand held GPS, lower-grade instant cameras, lower grade purpose built hand-held games.
For anything, if you want the "real thing" (like serious camera resolution and lensing) you will stick with the purpose built device. Or, a GPS device for golfing.

Very common in older mainframe shops. Poor source control. You can reverse engineer it but good luck.
