    Its called "duck tape". The plastic backing causes water to bead off rather than soak through, just like a duck's feathers. "Duct tape" has a foil backing that is airtight but not very flexible.

    Lots of people do just fine without fighters. There are also genres that only make sense on a PC; RTS for example. Could you imagine playing StarCraft on a console gamepad?

    Trucks are actually the worst handling vehicles on the road, especially in slick conditions. Four wheel drive and more ground clearance to plow through snow does not equate to winter safety.

    There are laws controlling the export and import of encryption technology in many countries. These laws restrict the sale and use of SSH; therefore, you have to differentiate your products if you want to sell in certain markets.

    So many people have the misconception that 24fps of playback means that the film was captured thus. Most films are actually captured at 72fps (3 samples per film cell).

    Most browsers give you a very big and mean looking error message when certs mismatch. The kind that make people unversed in security call their computer geek friends before doing anything; I suspect that this won't be too huge a problem.

    I did something similar from my apartment at the start of every year in university: find unsecured wifi, use default router passwords, set SSID to say "secure this wifi".

    Or: bottle methane obtained by reacting atmospheric CO2 and H2O, burn in vehicle, return CO2 and H2O to atmosphere. It could provide a higher density energy transportation medium than batteries (and allow for faster refueling as well).
