from a clean install of Mandrake 7.2 I found kword and maybe some of the others did the nasty trick of disappearing along with my work.
I've seen the SIGNAL detected box a few times too.
I wouldn't recommend it for people who rely on their word processor sticking around until the end of the day. .oO0Oo.

maybe - I'm sat here thinking - 5Gb hmm not enough really
I've got 4Gb of mp3's I recorded myself from my old records - great for listening to but a bugger to store - and I'm only about 1/4 of the way through them.
Plus a few Gig of pron.
I could really do with one of these suckers though.
while I certainly wouldn't want to use Windows at 160x160 configuring an X desktop to that resolution is quite useful.
for anyone who doesn't know VNC, on Unix it is a server and you can configure it however you want without having anything to do with your regular X setup. On Windows you just get a window on to the desktop currently running on the machine. Anyone remember NT Terminal Server ?
there is currently a port of plan9 on it's way to the iPaq (kernel working, userland twiddling it's thumbs).
Also the folks at www.vitanuova.com are dusting off their Ipaqs to continue developing Inferno for it.
All a bit of vapour atm. but promising none the less. I might buy one when I can do useful things on it. I got stung by WinCE 1 and the Palm Pilot already so I'll be waiting for a while until I spend again. .oO0Oo.
Emu was my favourite. On the plane back to Blighty I drank all the Emu they had on board - which made my transfer in Singapore in "interesting" experience.
Mind you it wasn't as bad as my colleague who worked in a Swedish airline. They went out for drinks one night and woke up in Thailand. Ah the joys of cheap travel. .oO0Oo.

but if you use yahoo you can at least collect it via pop3 straight in to your regular client
