    Yugo was a car build in the former Yugoslavia republic (now known as Serbia). In the same city the Yugoslavian AK-74 were build during the cold war period.

    Our predecessors had an average life expectancy approaching 80 years did they? That's right: if I keel over with a stress induced heart attack or stroke at 40 years old, I've still lived longer than the stress free peoples you're talking about. What's your point?

    Remove stress and add another 20 years to your life expectancy.

    I concur.

    But you forgot to add a good software package to create and edit powerful macros on the fly.

    P.S: The last Logitech mouse (G700), can be both wired and wireless a win win situation.

    Depends if the owner had any cost, privacy issue, ... I agree if there was no harm done there shouldn't be any penalty,

    In 2009 chess engines running on slower hardware have reached the grandmaster level. A mobile phone won a category 6 tournament with a performance rating 2898: chess engine Hiarcs 13 running inside Pocket Fritz 4 on the mobile phone HTC Touch HD won the Copa Mercosur tournament in Buenos Aires, Argentina with 9 wins and 1 draw on August 4-14, 2009.

    Look at chess AI, deep blue was the same size in 97, now you get better results using the chess software on your smarthphone.

    In a non corrupt country would be like that:

      - The government pays a company to build the 4G stations. With your tax money.

      - The government owns the 4G stations and lease them for a fixed price to anyone willing to play.

    - End user profits because you can have a true free market where you can choose your provider.

    I have a Blackberry from my employee. I have unlimited data and voice package for business and personal use, yet I couldn't give a damn about the phones.

    The voice is the same as 10 years ago and the Internet connection is the same rubbish it was ~5 years ago (first time I tried 3G). I don't see any point in apps, since I have access to optical line both at home and at work.

    Unless the Internet connection improves (and it won't anytime soon) I don't see any reason to own a smart phone.

    No problems at all, I'd even play on a 60' TV if someone else would pay for it. :)

    Since I race online I got much better lap times and much more constant. Now I can drive within 0.2 sec per lap.

    Don't forget the TV LCD or plasma, the prices are much better then monitors.

    But i don't see any point right now in higher resolution, on my 42' plasma I can't see the pixels and I play at 1m away. I do use the 2xAA tho.

    P.S: I use a dual monitor setup, so I still have my old LCD for everything else.

    Simulators (GTR/iRacing etc) might very well do, in a car without ABS I managed to get round a corner of black ice without an issue, as I knew what to do past the level of grip, to regain it, while the car infront went into a ditch, funny really (nobody was hurt) as I was the early 20's driver and the other guy was very middle age.

    True that, but most accidents do not com from exceptional road situations, but from stupid people mistakes.

    In order to become safer on the road we don't need to be better drivers, all we need is more care and patience.

    Me: ok, I got a good one.
    It boss: How much does it costs?

    2 days later
    Me: 3000Euros to cover our needs + Windows server license
    It boss: ok, I need to get the founds approved from the management.

    1 month later:
    Me: so did they approved the founds for the monitoring solution?
    It boss: not yet

    1 week later:
    Me: never mind I got everything up and running with open source

    Moral of the story:
    To use licensed story you need to waste you time to explain why you need the money. The more it costs, more time you will need to make the presentation good and may the god saves you if the solution is not perfect.
    While with open source you can start right away.

    US sanctions once prevented this but now Google has created versions of its popular software that block all Iranian government IP addresses from utilizing them — thus satisfying the new restrictions

    So, couldn't the Iranian government just use different IP addresses?

    This seems like a pretty weak way to get around the export restrictions and sanctions, doesn't it?

    Like they always could?

    Or do you think it was magically blocked in Iran?

    Exactly.

    Having a computer answering daily your simple questions is a big deal.

    Sure, it will take some time to get this CPU power in every home, but considering the hardware and software evolution it shouldn't be that far away.

    I was doing that too. Botting and creating an artificial deficit of selected goods by buying everything out of the AH under certain price. Of course I had no use of all this money and when I quit, I gave everything to my guild mates.
