With the developing of technology and Internet more and more people can diagnose their problems quicker.
When I was bitten by a tick I diagnosed borreliosis before going to the doctor, by just browsing the Internet. When I visited the doctor I already knew everything I had to do to cure it, still it was nice to get a professional confirmation.
Get used to it, the more you know, the better you can help yourself.
You could argue that it looks like a government solution for PC security. Yes, it can be abused, but if you implement it properly with the consent of the user I don't see any problem with it.
Anyway, isn't easier to create this filter on ISP level? Like a security package that you can choose.
Of course the devil is in the details, but there is no reason to start bashing China for this type of approach.
I mean, why it's so difficult to watch around and see what systems can be warez free.
Offline gaming will always be pirated if anyone cares enough, but Internet gaming can be controlled. All you need is a serial number and registration. No DRM, Safedisk or any other bullshit. I mean World of Warcraft, has absolutely no CD protection, hell you can just copy the entire folder to a new PC and start to play, you don't even need installation. Yet they earn millions every day.
Unless they offer a better service then Napster, your dentist will keep using it. Besides a dentist might not be good with computers, but he ain't a stupid person.
It was clear from the start of the Internet that free sharing can't be stopped. They need to accept it and move forward.
We will pay for a proper service, not stop wanking and deliver something worth buying. When P2P service is easier and faster to use then yours system, you got a problem.
I can cry with you if you want, but since the dawn of Internet, piracy was never easier and there is absolutely no reason for this to change, ever. Cry, pray, scream, it ain't gonna work.
Doesn't make any sense, if you stand still or move, your chances to get hit by a meteor is the same. The only thing that makes the difference is the area you cover and the height.

C:\>ftp some.Internet.Browser.server
get Internet.browser.exe
Not as easy as the web version, tho.
Yeah, shame the Concord was traveling faster then sound. :)
Even better, offer remote control to passengers for a premium price.
The operator ofc, since he has no political backup.
Considering it's an Acer, they will go for the cheap solution.
You could do the same as Pirate Bay. USA here -> o , China over there -------> O. My laws here, yours there.

Selfish solution to a problem.
CDs are so '90.
The average US citizen weights 450kg, this is why they drive around in Hammers. Besides they have absolutely no concept of beauty and design.
*runs away before the flame war*

They still pay an income tax.
If they go out of US, to who M$ will complain to prevent unlicensed use of Windows?
EU is much more user oriented then US.

In the name of most EU Internet users: Fuck off!

Found a nice pic on Wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Atmosphere_layers-en.svg
Looks like weather balloons are the one in danger.
I guess the mountain climbers should get a lesson or two about the dangers of meteors. :)
The earth atmosphere is 120km high. I know the friction is not linear but I doubt it would make so much difference in the last 10%.
Anyway if anyone can find a nice graph I'd love to see it.
Considering the atmosphere height of 120 km, I don't think 10% of height can make such a huge difference.
If 10km can make such a difference, all the ski resorts should be in danger. :)

Exactly, I don't understand why churches needs lightning rods if they have nothing to hide from God.
If meteors can be so dangerous to airoplanes, why we don't see them hitting cars or buildings more often?
You pay 5% of your income. :)
Oh another thing, you are a commie!
