One day the United States will have a long range rocket or two loaded with WindowsCE and something's going to go wrong. A windows crash will happen.. the rocket will hit the wrong country.. and it'll cause the third world wear.
And it'll be Bill's fault that only cockroaches and ABIO roam the earth.
The media telling everyone in the United States that we are all going to die because the next terrorist attack is going to use biological weapons is all right. But when the EFF spews worst case scenarios it's bull? Someone needs to inject the this guy with the thrax and then have a medical company sue him for having their copyrighted version of the infection.
While I used my last post a joke I do have a real opinion on the matter.
I beleive this is an example of an "US vs Them" mantality. Non IT workers have unions and lobby groups crying for thier every little thing while IT workers don't really have such things. So of course thoughs without representation get shit on.
Just shows you that people who aren't activily involved in IT would rather beleive it's some magic that is always there ua know. like air travel, or the sun rising.
Best way to prove the need for IT? let the hackers and script kiddies run wild and then see what happens when this supernatual force of IT crumbles around them. Who is need then =]
Thankgod. if Apple was smart they would continue to release CRT macs so Apple systems finally get cheap enough for more people to buy them. In a market that still sees ultra cheap wintel boxes Apple should do all it can to make a low end mac.
The "Hard-core" Apple users are going to stay no matter what, Apple doesn't need to worry about making them happy at this moment. They need to focus on getting the casual computer user to pick up their systems so they can gain some ground on Microsoft and Intel.
I've been though a failed inner city school system so I understand what your saying. The inner city school systems do not only hurt the poor of the nation, but everyone as a whole. So I do agree that the voucher program is a good idea, anything to light a fire under the ass of a system that doesn't care.
Lets think about this for a bit, think about all the stupid ways the court has been ruling on things. (an no I'm not talking about the florida voting thing and school vochers)
I say good game to 2600 and the EFF for not screwing it up entirly for people. let the court change a few seats before someone brings this up again (and it will happen agin if not by 2600 then by someone else).
Power to the people!!! cept that the powell in charge of the fcc need not worry about things like freedoms. the man in charge of the FCC is an ass and these complaints will fall on deaf ears because of it.
oh boy the cell phone makes get to play "how many version of tetris can thier possibly be"
then one of the cell phone makers is gonna come up with a version of tetrinet so you can curse at your phone for lossing to someone with wit teh h4x on thier phone.
While I am gad to see that nonMicrosoft platforms are being sent out to people that would otherwise not use them I am offended by the way this submitted used sent this article.
This elitist tone used in the article is not only common with Slashdot regulars but with the Open Source community in general. If the community is to grow outside it's niche bounds there will be the need for some people to get the "US Vs the ignorant" out of their way of thinking.
Ready yourself with useful examples of the many difference exploits and the insecurities. And keep nagging high ups doomsday scenarios and how it will cost the highest figure possible if the system were to ever be compromised.
My spelling is less then gooder =]

2. We will become a political prisonor and the geeks of the worlds will unit in a rage.
3. In protest the IT workers of the world will stop doing thier jobs and start hacking the systems they work for crippling the systems of the world.
4. The world now in chaos from geek rage will fold to any and all of the silly geek deamdns including the head of Bill gates.
5. World Peace.

"If Spam didn't work, why do I get a hundred pieces of it every morning? Someone is buying."
That's simple, alot of small business owners are stupid and they buy lists. that's who's buying
The only thing that is taking longer to develop then Remoero's POS Daikatana is TF2. TF2 will be released the day after the first Mars Mission.
I have seen the enemy and it is us... and we attack with a sea of legal papers which will kill us with paper cuts

2600 finally has something to report on which is positive to them. Good thing with H2K2 on the horizon =]

Yes he does. He likes Slashdot's own John Katz who is also a chronic bitcher.
If there is ever a reason to link the games to warping children's minds it's going to be doom 3. I'm wetting my bed and I only seen screen shots.
