making the engines more complicated and expensive in the process.

I always thought Diesel engines were simpler than gasoline, because, once started, you don't need any electricity to run them, no spark plug or any other source needed for ignition, just pressure.
I beg to differ... a tiny little piece of information:
On crisis like this, the smart move is to buy while the stocks are down and NOT SELL anything.
I have some stocks, that where losing 25%, but actually you don't lose any money until you sell below the buying price.
Today, my stocks are doing very well, doing 10% over the buying price.
Gambling?, not so much. Strategy?, yes, all the time.
On the other hand, there is no "house" here to take the money you lose. Prices, ups and downs, are set depending on someone selling and another one buying. So someones lose is others win. Suppose I have an item to sell at $100, I could agree to sell it at $80, so now the price of the item is $80 or I can wait until the opportunity arrives to sell it to someone offering $120. (yes, depending on the item, that time may never come, but if you choose your investments right, this is granted).
At least this is the reality of the minor investors like me, that put PART of savings in stocks, and part on fixed rate like savings account. (mattress is always a no-no, Do you know something called "inflation").
Also, stocks receive once or twice a year some extra money (the shares) if the company is actually making money.
Just my 2 pesos.
Sorry if I'm not versed in trade and stock lingo, as Spanish is my mother tongue.
Yes, maybe what we need is a system to naturally change form one way of control to another.
First using your hands, then your eyes, then your body... seems to me that has more to do with game and console design.
That would mean a lot of fun and no fatigue form repetitive tasks.
On the other hand, it would be funny, and maybe even good for health, seen your coworkers on their cubicles standing up and stretching when their mouse period is over, and they have to start to use their body yo control the cursor on screen.
Yes, but (*)plegic is almost always caused by spine injury, and it would be extremely rare to lose movement of the arms and not the legs, or any combination of one leg and one arm.
Think of the spine as a cable conduit, wherever you cut it, you will lose everything down from there.
Thats why, paraplegic is to be interpreted as losing the use of both legs.
Yep
I'm Chilean, and only a judge in a court of law can finally declare anything "illegal".
Also, I'm almost sure that Internet in Chile is considered a kind of "basic service", so, if you have payed your bills it is illegal for the ISP to disconnect you, arbitrarily raise bills and that kind of stuff.
(in very extreme cases - suppose someone is refusing to accept your money - you can make the payments to be hold by a notary public, and legally they can't deny that money)
We are also lucky to have several providers everywhere, so no struggling with zone monopolies, if you don't like a provider, just change it.
Mobile is also an option almost everywhere (8Mb 3.5G in cities and EDGE everywhere else) with pricing competing with landlines.
Because he needs to reach his PC and "tickle" it using it's MAC number.
And usually the office runs in a LAN, and the PCs are not directly visible from the outside. Hence you need a little box that handles both network interfaces (to be seen by the internet and able to see the LAN) to forward in the magic packets.
Sounds exactly like a telephone scam now happening here in Chile.
They call old people telling them that their grandson is involved in some sort of a car accident, and need money for bail or pay the affected part for the damages, anyway they tell them that if they don't get the money his/her beloved grandson will be in jail for a long time
Then, they ask for the address to send a messenger to pick up the payment, in terms of cash, LCD TV, Blu-ray, etc.
And people fell for it... even the ones without a grandson:-)
So... I think previous art should be mentioned here.
Do this means bye bye to any and every patent that Apple holds over the iPad(d)?
Well.. I guess I'm just another happy chimpanzee!! :-D
You are missing the correct interpretation of the rights of people to bear arms.

You know what they say, history is written by the winners.
Or in this case, clearly depends on the beholder.

Zork!
There needs to be a better way.

Here in Chile, at least, people with greasy hands usually offers you the arm. (excusing themselves for the dirty hands)
Anybody outside the US have ever heard about "creationists"? I'm sure I have only read about it in US-centric websites.
I think everywhere (including first and third world countries) evolution is a given, until a better theory comes up.
Not even priests (I think not even the Pope) believes in creationism... and the Genesis is to be interpreted as a metaphor.
It's incredible this kind of discussion is still on, on the year of the Lord of 2010.
Anyone else read "forced AIDS"?
... guess so... it's on the tags .

Looks weird, but I think it is correct. Agencies are currently doing stuff that was previously considered top secret, but now it isn't.
I have several funny and interesting posts in this matter
Please insert coin to see the first of them.

Remember rule N 1: Never get caught!
I know I used the word "if" in the previous sentence,
Actually... you didn't
Mmm... very smart indeed, they have even learned how to post in /.
