    It generates a filtering list for the "aa*.aat", "dd*ddt", "kk*kkt", "ss*sst” files that are searched in the temporary location and uploads the files that match these criteria to the server. If the answer is the uninstall line, Linux.Ekoms.1 downloads the /tmp/ccXXXXXX.exe executable file from the server, saves it to the temporary folder and runs it.

    Last time I check unless you are running Wine, ccXXXXXX.exe will not execute in linux or have my years of use clouded my judgment?

    It is not fault tolerant when you only have one provider selling the service.

    So I should be paying multiple ISP's for redundant internet access at home?

    But I don't relish the possibility of something like this having a kill switch.

    At anytime someone from ATT/ComCrap/Other/Drunk Driver/weather/NSA/CIA/ETC can turn your internet off by accident or on purpose.

    There is no such thing as interfere-less internet.

    How much of what is purchased in the US is actually made in the US?
    That should be 1/2 of the problem solved.
    How far down the rabbit hole will this go?
    Order a car part from Germany and then find out you don't need it, can you sell it? Legally?

    A lot of U.S. cities lack good bus transit, and apart from Volkswagen's TDI vehicles, few automakers want to try marketing diesel cars in the United States, even after the nationwide switch to ultra-low-sulfur diesel a few years ago.

    Take a look at BMW starting to push diesel also.
