It's a shocking bad state to be in in 2010... Something needs sorting. You can try UDF, but there are so many revisions, finding one that works for everything is a challenge too.
Opera has pretty much all the useful stuff already built in, without the security/relibility isues and bloat that Firefox style extensions bring with them.
Firefox is a massive resource hog. With more tha 2 tabs open for a while, it will consume vast amounts of memory.
Opera is a breath of fresh air. 10.10 is rock solid and fast, 10.50 is (currently) unstable, but faster than anything around, including the previous king, Chrome, and Opera have already said there is still more gains to be had and planty of debug to remove.
You talk nonsense. The PPE is about the same as the 360 tri-core, and the 7 usable SPEs are each capable of some stupidly high single precision maths numbers. A quick looking on folding@home shows a single PS3 outputiing 10x what a GPU based algorythm is kicking out.
You tripe sounds like the usual copy and paste nonsense that all Xbox owners seem to be programmed with.
You can all thank Microsoft and Xbox Lives reliance on laggy P2P networking for this. Any multiplatform titles that includes Xbox360, will mean all the other platforms that usually have dedicated servers (PC and PS3) will get gimped due to the Xbox's limitations.
Actually no, it seems to be mainly Microsoft that does this. They have been overflating their Xbox stats for a very long time, and doing tricks like stuffing the chain and reporting shipped units. Obviously they also include all the RROD units in their 30m consoles, as Sony have 26m or so units, and there is no way they could be seen to have lost their 18month headstart....
I'm sure there were laws in the US against this, however it's clear that Microsoft are above the law these days.
It's hilarious reading all the brainless American morons desperately trying to defend this (and the forthcoming Xbox Live subs increase to $100)... We have a bet a work to see how far Microsoft can screw them over, and still watch the dumb fanboys defend them.. This so far takes the biscuit...
I can't seriously believe that the same country that inflicted the Xbotch360 on us, that fails to work for more than a couple of months, is the same on that claims they went to the moon...
Except in America, where corruption is rife (despite having anti-corruption laws), and big corporates like Microsoft (and to a lesser degree Google) can do what they hell they want, as long as they keep people in work.
Pixeljunk series of games on PS3 is a classic example, gameplay is number one, everything else comes lower down the list.
Pixeljunk MOnsters for example is one of the most enjoyable games I have every played, it's got a HUGE comeback value (despite being insanely diffucult, you still make progress in the game).
The best £5 I have every spent on ANYTHING, let alone PSN.
It's also the ONLY way Linux is going to get anywhere near a reasonable share of desktop usage. The mess created by Ubunutu/Redhat/KDE/Gnome and everyone else doing their own thing, is what has killed Linux's desktop adoption.
Having a ChromeOS, which is opensource, yet single set of API's is a fantastic idea. I'm just Annoyed Opera did not persue their plans for this several years back (or did they?)
Our high traffic sites in Europe have seen a VERY large month on month rise in Opera usage, mostly taken from Firefox which has stagnated and even dropped slightly in the last couple of months. Safari or Chrome barely registers on the list at all.
Sorry, it's just the US. Most things in the UK are metric these days (thank god). Only a few imperialisms remain. All the schools have been teaching metic units since the 70's
Once the old duffers are out the way, we can get rid of the remaining units (pints and miles).
It's clearly NOT bloatware, as even though Opera hass all that, it's still 1/3rd the size of Firefix, and it's memory footprint and resource handling in infinitely better.

No, I think it's pretty much you...

Things like Playstation Home killed it. Here in Europe it's HUGE, 8m or so regular visitors.
Yawn..
Opera already have stuff working in this area...

Just use Opera, it's sync'd bookmarks (and more) for years, and includes sync to mobiles.

Or better still use Opera's content blocker, whilst it doesn't autoupdate, it's far more comprehensive in what and how it blocks...
Use a decent adblock list like this one:

Win7 UAC is pretty good, much less annoying than Vista, and considerably less annoying than Ubuntus UAC.
Now I might be wrong, but neither Chrome, Opera, Safari or even IE has needed updates are frequently as Firefix does...
More holes than swiss cheese...
We've all seen Capricorn One...

??? Nobody has seen gameplay, because none has been shown.
You have already decided you are not going to like it, because it's a PS3 exclusive, and the gaming media have told you to hate anything PS3.
Some people clearly don't have a mind of their own...

It's something like.
65% IE
20% Firefox
8% Opera
Then everything else.

Plus all the services are disabled by default. Something which most of the morons here seem to have trouble getting their head around.
Personally, I think it's a awesome innovation. It's not a web server, it's a personal content publishing service.
It's not just consoles.
Mercedes sell less cars every year than Ford do, however I know which one I want to drive...

You also need white skin, and red jumpsuits for it to work.
