    You spend all your time focusing on the mom-n-pop's you're putting out of business, and don't look in the rearview mirror to see RedBox or Netflix.

    Perhaps the mom-n-pop's will make a slight comeback. There are still a few of them out there, and there is still the nitch of spontaneously renting an old movie that Netflix and RedBox can't fill.

    It shows that the stereotype of the church is against is untrue. It has some interesting observations on the Catholic church and its views on things.

    It should be pointed out that he is no ordinary priest (actually, he's a monk). He is a Jesuit. An order organized during the renaissance to preach to the more educated people of the time.

    Today they are known for administrating most of the church's universities. One of the requirements is to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree.

    yes, yes, I know, SELinux and such could protect me if I configure them correctly. Not even I can easily do that however, and nobody that I know would go that far

    Apparmor for Ubuntu isn't too difficult. The default settings are good for most users, you just have to install them and set them to enforce.

    IIRC it's something like
    sudo apt-get install apparmor-profiles
    sudo enforce firefox

    A nice instruction manual can be found here.

    Is there a PDFBlock for FireFox like there is a Flashblock? (At home I use Foxit Reader but at work Adobe Reader is installed.)

    Tools>Options>Applications change anything that says "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)" to "Always Ask"

    From Wikipedia:

    Level and quality of self-esteem, though correlated, remain distinct. Level-wise, one can exhibit high but fragile self-esteem (as in narcissism) or low but stable self-esteem (as in humility).

    So only those with a high and stable self-esteem are not on Facebook.

    It includes people who love themselves and people who hate themselves. Not people who are "average with themselves".

    Yes, in my experience, very few people are "averege with themselves".

    Although on further examination, being a narcissist doesn't necessarily mean one loves oneself. One can have low self-esteem and be a narcissist as a means of coping.

    Perhaps a better description would be self-centered with a low self-esteem.

    Unfortunately, it's the IRS that determines how fast you can depreciate things.

    America has one of the cheapest fuel prices in the world.

    That's bull and you know it. Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Venezuela all pay less than $1 per gallon.*

    *Based on some really old CNN Money article. Prices may have changed, but I doubt very much.
