Did they even try? My conversative roommate and best friend at home both have rooms just as messy as mine. And my liberal boyfriend keeps his room compulsively clean.
*takes it off* okay, I was going to try to make some connection between ea trying to drive off PC gamers to make those users who game on windows game on consoles instead, opening up the linux/unix/osx market, but I just can't do it in good faith. Too ludicrous
Ever since I was little, I've always liked the way the s10 pickup and consequently the Blazer's front grills looked. When they redesigned the blazer to match the new-gen pick-up truck, it just wasn't the same.
It took me a while to get used to the way my car looks head-on (03 cavalier). Of course, now that I've driven it for four years, I love the way it looks xD
Sometimes mini story arcs are not as funny as they would be if you skipped back a week and read what came before. XKCD generally lacks any sort of overarcing story and is readily digestible in daily packets, whereas achewood story lines can stretch on for months.
How old are these kids? If they're old enough to read and understand what the average spam mail is referring to, especially if pictures are blocked, then the amount of spam that gmail lets through that could be harmful to them is pretty miniscule compared to the amount of porn they could find in the average closet. Let them grow up a little?
The instructor for my intro to CAD class does his lectures with the projector talking his way through the proceses, anyways, whenever he gets a box that pops up asking for his input, he'll read it out loud, replacing the 'you' with 'I', e.g. "I do not want to see this box again!", but he'll forget to check the box so he'll do the same thing again and teh box will come up again and he'll read it outloud again.
He also refers to selecting things as 'picking' and middle clicking as 'pushing the center button'. It drives me nuts.
Is it considered very tacky to use your ISP-given e-mails address in a professional setting? (for future reference)
Right now, I have my school e-mail and a gmail account with my full.name so I'm covered until shortly after I graduate, but it's always good to be planning ahead
That's what I like about my Materials class (ME), it's applied chemistry and a lot more fulfilling than all the chemistry I had up until now (high school chem I, high school chem II and then university chem I -- five semesters of the exact same material).
It's not yet, but the unwillingness to upgrade is why we had to start this intense firefox promotioning in the first place because IE6 *had* gotten to where it was vintage software. We'd like to not see that happen again.
Aside from that, I can sympathize. I used winamp3 up until last year.
I was super proud of my surge protector arrangement last year in my dorm room.
Instead of having to buy a lot of extension cords to reach a surge protector in the floor, I wrapped the cord around a bar of my loft bed, then triangulated a support by putting my weighty printer cord through a bar at the top and letting that cord bear most of the weight so that the surge protector just kinda floated in space within easy reach of even my alarm clock (top shelf).
as for organization, it's easy. Anything that can be plugged in there gets plugged in. If I have to charge something that's not plugged in, I have to unplug my cell phone charger and plug it in:X (i just wish i could get to that last un-used plug. why oh why did I not get one of those squid units instead of the bar;.; )

Do it yourself then. If they're not repairing it then you probably don't have any warranty left to void.

$240 for a 15"mbp case bottom.
I've cleaned my matte screen with spit and newspaper before. I'm not impressed. (didn't hurt it any either)

my problem is my ipod doesn't go down soft enough :( At zero volume at night, it's still too loud!
Not as nice as NeoOffice when I dl'ed it :)
little kids don't know that, so if they did play with the little plastic blocks when they were little, they would have called them Legos ;)
But I actually read this article in an honest-to-gosh "hard"copy newspaper today.
I think gimp has far more connotations than just that one, like crippled people!
Figure someone needs to make a fuss on here about it;

people desperately wanting this orphan works bill to go down way differently than it seems to be headed atm.

well, we have nipples on laptops that act as mice, and the scrolling action on three-button mice is pretty analogous to *sniped*

Once upon a time, this joke would be hinting that windows would crash before the 24th hour:(
Mario might not have been able to, but Final Fantasy sure did!

I saw this headline on the rss feed and thought 'what, are we all supposed to do NaNoWriMo this year?'

yeah well I hate those people that drive my speed more because they'll get on the left hand lane and NOT PASS.
I'm sure one was probably a frat lad. I mean, you gotta have something to show off in between rounds of beer pong!
(for a given value of fraternity, I know I know I know!)
Getting cartridges to work properly is really an art.
When I was little, I used to beg my older sister to help me play SMB3.
Now, her oldest son begs me for help.
I guess this is karma?
