The quick start feature has been mentioned elsewhere, but you can now control the menu, as well as other apps that were restricted to the GamePad and Stylus such as eShop and Internet Browser, with Wii Remote or Pro Controllers.
I did see that on some images when I was looking for it later. I was only this evening marvelling at how thoroughly the design team refine their products, such as the tripod mount point on the back of the GamePad.
If you include Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, which requires you to close the clam-shell to continue past the first third of the game, it could be said that it does limit content...
I wondered if I'd missed a meeting or two, until you said we gaol people for not voting. it's a small fine which would expire with the statute of limitations before SPAR would try to incarcerate you for it.
According to the Jargon File, it implies that you won't design software that no-one wants to use.
Instead, you design software that everyone wants to use and then Spring Clean it away!
Agree. The level of computer support I provide family members does not vary between Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, iOS, etc.
This is a tired trope that needs to die.
It seems that a lot of people are generating FUD, again, because they want the system to fail.
The system is great, the games we have so far are fun, and that's probably about the same purchase rate as on the Wii. We have a PS3, but that is only used for watching movies, which I never thought would be the case. The games just aren't compelling.
The Wii U will do fine, and will sell many units when the 'big' Nintendo titles release.
The Wii did not play DVDs unless you modded it. The Wii U is now the only console that gets used in my house, and we still have all of the old ones hooked up and ready to go if desired. (Actually, the PS3 gets used for watching movies, but has been used for games only when trying the bundled games that one time). Also, the recent updates have fixed most of the other issues you complain of.
Looks the same, plays the same, but a little lag when PackageKit ran. Interesting that GNOME Shell notifications appear over the game. Can't wait for Portal 2 to be released so I can finally try two-player (I only have one machine that has a Windows install capable of running it).
There's a car manufactured over here and then shipped everywhere. It is three times as expensive in Australia as USA. "Cost of international shipping" is often used as a reason cars are so expensive over here, but things like this just make a mockery of such lies.
I imagine the size of the market and number of potential customers has more to do with it than the tyranny of distance.
"Fabrications"?!
If you background the cp process like I'm now imagining we're suggesting systemd does, then I follow, otherwise you're describing expected behaviour.
I thought it returned nothing if it succeeded and displayed a message for any other exit mode (just like a UNIX command should)?

Tabs don't load until you click on them.
Also Red Hat JBoss, Apache and Jenkins CI, etc. Quite a few pies, but I haven't noted many installations that use Crowd.

I would watch that!
Just look up the number of times a 'Batman' title has won 'Game of the Year' or similar (not always based on a movie, but they're in there).
So, Ace Rimmer is the next Doctor?!

Seems to be something missing I can't quite put my finger on. perhaps it's some overarching "zeroth" law...

Not if you've had the "touch" site thrust upon you...
Effective ingredients must be listed on the front over here. Usually legible from the customer's side of the counter.

In Hynds' cite this is a good thing.
Who wants to bet they'll be crying when there's no way of distributing their 4K content to consumer's new TVs?
I did try it a few times, but each time it took me away from the article I had come to read and dumped me on the homepage. Unacceptable.
On the plus side, it did appear to load a lot quicker than the 'Classic' mode.
Fun in the sun!
