The only shooter that I have fun with every single time I play it. Hell...maybe the only video game altogether that is like that. I do get distracted by new shininess more and more lately though...haven't been playing it much.
Looks like landing is all about catching the tailhook, and planes are very strong for certain stress. The takeoffs look like maybe they put just enough power into the catapult to get it in the air? I can't tell if there is a catapult there...but I would assume there has to be.
I remember a press conference with Colin Powell where he was asked what he thought of the SR-71 being cancelled. He said with an obvious 'I am answering your question even though I am not answering it ' smile that "that is a political question".
It is all, of course, just personal taste...but I think the U-2 is one of the prettiest planes ever made. The C-130 is just a truck...and trucks just look like trucks.
I have a pretty impressive string of only veggie patties going. If I can lay off the sauce there seems to be no end in sight, I never get sick of them. (I get drunk and order pizza...aka the curse of the modern fat man).
I pretty much lived on beans for a solid 10 years. I still eat a lot of them, but not twice a day every day. For a while, I had the most atrocious gas you can imagine. In both quality and quantity. Roommate at the time told me he was moving out if I didn't go see a doctor. Needed a roommate, so I did.
Me: "What can I do about having really bad gas all the time?" Doctor: "Fart more. It won't hurt you."
I walk in the door, let one rip and state "Doctor's orders!"
Also, along with gut flora I think it has something to do with some people being weird about where they shit. There are a lot of people that just won't drop a deuce anywhere but a few "safe" locations, and they end up walking around holding it in. I stopped being so particular and went wherever I was when I needed to...unless it was the trainspotting bathroom or something....and I never have gas anymore.:*(
The idea of being represented by a number and not their name was more than a little troubling to our (my, if you are not American) ancestors. I don't think it really bothers most people nowadays.
They tried to implement a national patient ID system with all the HIPPA stuff. Couldn't agree on how to do it. Or, the big players made sure it didn't go anywhere because they viewed it as a step along the way to single payer.
A dirty little secret of healthcare IT is that pretty much industry wide they are just as greedy/useless as the executives with the yachts at the payers that have been getting (deservedly) hammered in these posts.
I doubt it would have mattered when they started. I don't necessarily mean in house IT, mainly vendors. Every new government mandate that changes something with billing is just another excuse to gouge their customers.
- It is a hell of a lot easier to manage updates to the OS, firmware, drivers, and games on a console hooked up to a large-screen tv with a proper 10-foot interface than a PC
I don't think it is really that much easier. It is somewhat easier, yes. It is bolded hell easier? Not IMO.
The console provides a unified interface for social gaming. I can see what games other friends are playing and join in their session or send them a message to try to convince them to play a different game
You can do this (with any game, steam or not) in steam
I can be sure that games on a console perform reasonably well without having to upgrade any hardware.
PC gamers are also sure. One of the unexpected side effects of consoles taking over. I built my gaming rig in 2009. I upgraded the video card about 6 months ago because I got a 2560x1440 monitor and wanted to run everything in that res. I did not need to upgrade the video card otherwise. I buy any game I like and do not need to even consider whether it will run, it will. If you build a decent machine you do not need to worry about this anymore. Maybe, and I mean maybe, you would run into trouble when the next gen consoles come out and the performance bar gets bumped up a notch...but how often does that happen?
Yes, that is amusing to hear considering how much myself and my PC gaming friends used to bitch (we have given up) about how much consoles were dumbing-down/ruining games. Not looking to dig that corpse up again....just saying it is funny to hear a console gamer complain about it.
Witch-hunt kinda implies that he isn't guilty. He isn't appealing this decision....baseball players ALWAYS appeal....they must have him dead to rights or he and the union would be pitching a fit over it instead of going along with it.
Very early on in the process of dogs coming out of wolves...it may have been more about natural selection. (Maybe) Early man only allowed the wolves that were tame to hang around...and it was beneficial for the tamer wolves. It seems when you select for tameness....you get more than just that as you go along.
I am sure everyone has already heard of ths.
I don't believe that it is.
This smells more like a problem with irresponsibility and poor life choices than some sort of systemic issue.

mod up somebody.
9 got together with 6 and they hatched this plan to stop that evil bastard 7 from eating 9 again.
Man, if it gives people motion sickness already......portal already has situations that are hard on the brain with only a monitor...

Hehe....You are wondering what you need to do to stay current = You are getting older.
You don't have any idea what is current and you don't particularly care to find out = You are old.
I read this link as "Physics of the worlds fattest man" when I clicked on it. I was mildly disappointed. That would be more interesting.
the worst of the witchhunt right now,
Witch-hunt kinda implies that he isn't guilty. He isn't appealing this decision....baseball players ALWAYS appeal....they must have him dead to rights or he and the union would be pitching a fit over it instead of going along with it.
Or just clap your hands. I have yet to meet a goose that didn't run away from that. (I will get attacked by a pack of geese on the way home).

I am not commenting on what you say beyond that the first paragraph reminds me of this: Life does not stop and start at your convenience
It's a dead language. It's why Early Cuyler quit school in the second grade. Refused to allow the government to force it upon him.
same.
He is running the release the hounds cheat. He'll be fine.
