Most people will realize they called the wrong number when they get your voicemail message and not the pizza place or whoever they were trying to call.
doing a search on the interwebs of famous blind people, I recognized the names of 4 people on the list, Louis Braille, Helen Keller, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder.
Who would you choose as an example of someone who is blind?
Except its not basic hardware, the cheapest Mac Pro is $2300. For that 2300 you get the case A motherboard supporting a single Quad Core CPU (default is 500 more with 2 Quad core CPUs) 2 GB of RAM a 320GB HDD OSX
A comparable PC system would cost maybe 1500 from a quick run through of parts on Newegg. But lets say he didn't want to purchase a quad core CPU, that would knock off a few hundred more. It sounds like he wanted something similar to a macbook (spec wise) in a case that can have upgrades added. Not a workstation.
A gun is a tool. Guns are not evil. They can be used to do evil things, so they are outlawed because it makes it easier to do evil things.
You can say the same about knives. They make it easier to kill people as well.
Or pencils. Or cars. They're all just tools. That make it easier to kill people or do bad things.
He is raising the point, that someone intending to break the law in an act such as a mugging, they wouldn't care if they were breaking another law at the same time.
If knives/guns are outlawed, you can't use a knife/gun to defend yourself from someone attempting to mug you using a knife/gun.
Locking down MAC addresses is less useful than WEP.
It is equivalent to standing in line for something and listening for the name the guy in front of you gives to get past the bouncer, and then using the same name, and he still lets you in.
I dunno, it's just playing phone tag has never been something I enjoyed. I leave my phone on and don't answer it if I don't want to, but to each their own.
I feel the same way about email. I keep my email application closed except when I feel like emailing people. I don't have email so people can email me whenever they feel like it. Its so I can email them. And when I send emails, I don't even check what people have sent me.
Hopefully, the people I email don't work the same way. Then every one would turn off their phones^w email and no one would ever be able talk to each other.
It is obviously your choice, but if you think about, why would you have a cell phone at all? If its there for your own convenience, and all of your friends phones are for their convenience, and you don't expect them to answer when you call. The only reason you would have for a cell phone is to call businesses.
Or I suppose you could arrange phone calls over email....
Actually, based on the term crack whore, a karma whore would be someone willing to do whatever they can, to get karma. Obviously sex (cyber at least) will only get you modded offtopic on slashdot so they do whatever else they can.
If I recall correctly, he was the head of the commerce committee that was in charge of the network neutrality bill being pushed through a couple years back.
The guy was in charge of regulating the internet. And called the internet a series of tubes.
I don't even know what analogy to come up with in comparison. Car analogies are welcome;)
Well, with all the professional evidence destroying... shredding companies looking for something to do in DC, you have to be worried it might start getting smaller.

I would agree, it is funny though, in your post you said "You're efforts...."
Kinda the same thing he was pointing out.

Would the poor wind up fuelling a market for environmentally, ethically, and medically dangerous products?
Have you heard of McDonalds?
I dunno about that, not everyone plays to farm, some like an interesting game with a challenge.

He said that it was blocked because gambling was part of the URL. Not because it was mentioned in the content of the page.
The size of a byte doesn't have to be 8 bits, though it usually is.

We don't need no water....
But then we'd need a catchy way to reference it.
I have a delivery ... did somebody order a pizza?
You do realize that Counter Strike is a mod don't you?
Even CS:S is a mod, albeit not in quite the same way as CS was.
Well, if the companies are colluding to price fix the cost of the text messages, they would be in trouble.
Like a few years back when the RAM companies did the same thing to inflate the cost of RAM.
He fixed his error, with $.10 which is .10 dollars or 10 cents.
It really isn't unclear.

It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

So Mr. Miyamoto what good is a phone call... if you're unable to speak?
Yes, but as the article says, its unmanned so you can't ride in it.
