    There is no situation where the firmware update is needed, that it won't be automatically applied. If you try to play a newer game on a system that never had the internet, the game will automatically install the firmware update. If you simply connect it to the internet, it will do the update.

    If you don't do either of those things, you have no reason to want to update.

    If BestBuy charged additional labor for a guy to run a lap around the outside of the store, it would be of approximately equal value. But since the guy ran the lap, he did do labor, so it's a valid labor charge?

    I would imagine more people use torrent technology for legal content than 'infringing'. I would also surmise that torrents are used more for 'infringing' than legal content.

    The reason being that the pando downloader, used by WoW, and various other games is exactly that, and I would guess more people play those games than pirate crap.

    Yeah, I figured a job that requires a lot of abstract thought where you have to envision lots of steps/objects in your head might be problematic to someone with an attention deficit.

    Pop some Ritalin so the person in question 'chills out' and can focus? Or as an alternative to red bull?

    Ritalin is actually an upper (to those who aren't afflicted with ADD/ADHD, which I imagine most developers aren't) and would be counter productive in most situations. Unless you are going with the idea many soccer moms do, so exhausted they need something to keep them going, so they hit up little Billy's stash of uppers they don't actually need.

    Or you were unclear on the notion that if the FBI designed it, it would be ineligible for copyright, but if someone else not under that restriction designed it for them, that someone else might still own the copyright?

    5 buttons is limiting, I've gone through various mice looking for one that fit my needs, from an MX518, to a G500 and now finally to a Performance MX Anywhere.

    The two extra thumb buttons (in addition to the forward and back, and the various mouse wheel 'buttons') are what I needed for my personal use.

    My first thought as to what an elevator technician was, was the people that stand on the elevator all day and push the buttons for the riders. Them having to provide their own 'tools' would be interesting.

    On my home connection, with $2-3/GB I'd have a monthly charge of $120-180 per month. That wouldn't be cool....
