This is because 99.997% of americans are inept at the tasks to actually do any home building. Go shopping for a older home and look at the nightmares that the DIY network and Places like Home Depot have created. Basements finished by someone that watches too much DIY network or HGTV are pretty on the surface but half assed underneath to the point that I'll pass on any home that I can tell the howmowners tried to be "handy" because I dont want to pay to have it all ripped out and done right.

And yes I know what I am looking at, Grew up as a son of a contractor, I spent EVERY summer until my 22nd birthday building houses, pulling wire, and plumbing homes. I can tell when something is right and when something is a frigging nightmare behind some nice paneling...

Oh and high end installs Dont use a PS3, they use a LG or Sony BD player... because they integrate to real control systems like Crestron and AMX. Every time I have tried integrating a PS3, the garbage BLuetooth to IR gateways are unreliable.

Honestly, you Repubs should be very afraid. If someone finally motivates the Poor and Minorities to get out and vote, all of your GOP candidates in every election will lose in a landslide as the poor outnumber you 100 to1.

The problem is that most poor and minorities do not trust anyone in government as all they do is screw them. If someone get's past that you are utterly doomed.

Honestly, the best thing Obama could do is have press conferences publicly smearing the GOP. "The republicans want to protect the rich while screwing the poor, I am fighting for the poor! remember this in the next election!"

If he pulled that on TV in every speech and was able to motivate the masses.... it would be game over.

Administrators need to have a PAY cut to no more than 8X more than the MEDIAN pay of their school or district.

Finally, expenses need to be realistic, teachers and kids using computers from more than 4 years ago is a waste of resources. IT budgets need to be changed. The school building needs to be maintained right, sorry but that 120 year old building is a LIABILITY not an advantage... tear it down and replace it with a efficient modern structure that will not rob the school of funds every month.
