I'm for even the price of the show on the DVD. If you sell the Seasons's DVD set for $39.95 and it has 20 episodes on it, I'll give you $1.99that for one episode in full pristine resolution and no commercials.

No Hulu is not an option. I want it in 720p on my playback device of choice. not their blessed device or at a horribly crappy resolution plus disabling skipping of commercials.
So I simply have a mythbox to grab what I can locally, and I torrent the stuff I cant get in the country.
Make it so I can pick 25 tv shows for $50.00 per month and I get all the video files at HD to play on my hardware and I'm all for it. not channels... TV SHOWS. Less for shows that pull the 5 episode = a season crap.
How about the fact that the Wii could own at sports yet there are no games that are playable...
Bowling, the game disc that came with the game is the best bowling game out there. all the others suck HORRIBLY! Golf? only recently has a decent one came out that has real control (and it needs the add on accelerometer)

A couple of construction zones in Ohio do it differently. They have a guy in a truck with sticks to hog the whole road drive at the posted zone limit all day long, he slows down the idiots by making them not able to pass him. It's quite effective as all he needs to to is generate a "pressure wave" of cars bunched up and the average speed stays down.
but talk about a boring job. all day to day you drive up and down the construction zone over and over and over and over....
So they take them out because a unstable idiot that cant go the speed limit murders someone?
I personally think they are needed for specific places. Construction zones. Too many idiots go flying through construction zones putting construction works and other motorists in danger. maybe speed cameras all along the construction area will actually slow down those idiots.
They go farther than that. Try and write an iPhone app under linux. They demand you use their hardware and their OS as well.

My take on the whole thing is "WAH" if you dont like it then dont code for the closed platform. There is a huge Android platform that would really like some more great apps to compete with apple's head start.
Plus android based tablets are actually already here (I have had an android based tablet for a year now. I installed Android X86 on a older tablet PC. works great.

I hand them my credit card like everyone else in the place. In fact most will swipe your card once and run your tab on it if you are a regular. My favorite Irish Pub in Dublin even does this, same as the die Kneipe I was in 12 weeks ago in a little town outside of Berlin.
Do that to ebay.com paypal.com, etc.... It opens up a world of unholy hell for all the scammers on this planet to make it even harder to determine if a site is real or fake....

Switchgrass based fuel is highly effective and can be ramped up to full speed within 24 months if they actually desired to. Electricity in the USA is mostly COAL, the only industry that would be impacted is transportation based on heavy fuels like jet fuel and diesel and those also have alternatives.
Honestly, electric vehicles would work now if we had the infrastructure to support them. 15 minute charging stations, etc...
Oil drilling is keeping old money rich. Nothing more. Even a 1980's car can easily be converted to use E85 or E100 fuel for very little money, so trying to use a "what about the poor" rant is already dead.

true, a best case solution would be to use a device that was a small rocket motor. Fire it and start spinning the enemy satellite. if you spin it enough the bird will not be able to recover before it's out of fuel if you are clever, install two one at the top one at the bottom on the other side, you get a nice two axis wobble spin that would also whack out all internal guidance systems.

A buddy of mine has sold 4, 16gig non 3G iPads to UK and German people on ebay for over $650.00 each.
They want these things and are willing to pay a premium plus nearly $100.00 in shipping to get them.
He sells only a few more and he has made enough to get himself a free iPad.
Also from the looks on ebay, they will not have a problem selling them over there even with really skewed currency values.

All you need is ONE analog copy, then digitize it and no further degradation.
I do this all the time, I record HD over component analog into a encoder. I encode to mpeg4 and several billion copies of that all look fantastic.
In fact, I find it hard to find someone that can tell my 720p analog copy is a analog copy.
This is why I love the analog hole, it's very useful and bypasses corporate stupidity.
