so we drive really stupid here. we drove 2 feet from the car in front of us to "punish them" or to try and "force them to move" by bullying the other driver. We also blow the red lights really late because we are far more important that everyone else. Oops I killed a bicyclist or motorcyclist, they should have not been there!
Couple that with incredibly inadequate driving education and almost no liability. (In Michigan we have no-fault. I can "accidentally" sideswipe your car and not get in any trouble, only pay for higher insurance rates)
Death rates here in the USA are higher simply because many of us here really suck at driving and are a danger on the road. It's been that way for a really long time. Even in the 50's we had cartoons trying to educate against road rage and bad driving.
and you N900 is also dog slow., herky jerky and has phone problems. I loved my N900, but I need a phone first and a pocket PC second. I had cell tower hand-off problems, Bluetooth connectivity with my car sucked (have to reboot N900 after EVERY call to make another call through the car's hands free bluetooth, Damn Ford and BMW and their non standard Bluetooth that works with all other phones INCLUDING older Nokias!) The interface get's slow at times making you wait, AND I experienced lockups at times.
I had to have a phone that worked with my bluetooth and worked as a phone 100% of the time. the N900 is not useable for that. Sadly my friends iPhone did not have problems with using the car's bluetooth integration, and he does not have lockups or loss of cellphone reception in many places. Yes I checked... my kichen, N900 = no signal his iphone 2 bars. walk to living room 5 bars, N900 still no signal for 30-60 seconds..... OH there it is! I get 3 bars! WOOOO!
I'm seriously thinking of selling my N900 on ebay and getting an iPhone or a Nexus 1
If you want to videoconference over skype at Least use your laptop and a real net connection. I cant stand the idiots that try and skype into a conference call on their 3g internet in their laptop, all choppy and dropouts. we usually simply tell them to call back on a real connection. Most of the time we cant stand people using wifi for longer calls because of the cyloning and video problems that even a faster 802.11g connection has.
If you want to have a useless choppy blocky videocall? it would be perfect.
Of course they are. They learned from the USA that if you keep the populace fat-dumb-and happy by getting them TV then they are "happy" Most americans are very happy with losing most of their freedoms if it makes them think they are safer and entertained....

It's not heavily pirated and publicized. I have a friend with a PS3 and a hard drive full of games for it. There are mod chips out there, you need to know where to look.
They are doing the same crap to the consoles too. Testing the waters with DLC that is only available via the code in the new game box. Right now it's fluff crap that nobody really cares about (ME2: none of the DLC is useful at all, it's all worthless) but it will change, like 1/2 the game being a DLC that is locked to a user.
It's crap like this that makes me think the pirates have the right idea and are justified. I'm a legit customer, and I get reamed in the butt without lube by the company I bought from. That makes me want to say "screw you" and pirate the stuff next time.
I don't care how "domesticated" you think your house cat it. the only reason it does not eat you is because you are too big. Breed a tiger sized house cat, and kitty will start eating people, ripping them apart with their claws, etc....
Yet huge dogs that are of breeds that are fully tame will not try to eat their masters or other humans. There are breeds of Irish wolf hounds of mastiffs that will scare the living crap out of almost anyone seeing one. Nothing like having a dog look you in the eye and standing on all four feet when you are 5'10" tall. and a mastiff at over 250 pounds can easily out-muscle and start chowing down on people. yet they don't (normal non abused ones, abused animals all bets are off). That might be because we dont have to teach cats to not eat people though.....

Actually yes. because your power meter is too inaccurate at small reading to give me a difference in 15 minutes. and when you are chasing down parasitic loads it's important.
I use the TED5000 (The Energy Detective) works great, is dirt cheap, and gives me an energy data aggregate that is killer in every way. Plus having a Dollar amount in our faces on the counter every minute of the day really makes you pay attention to leaving the basement lights on all day.
But that was with the old way of using Metal Halide that you needed 10 1000 watt lamps to grow with. Now with flouresent and LED setups you dont need a whole lot more.
No I dont grow pot. I have a reef tank. Seeing my energy bill drop by $100.00 a month by switching to LED and FLouresent new tech fro mthe Metal halides I was using was really nice. It also has a side benefit of my corals are doing WAY better and I dont need to run a chiller anymore.
The guy who sold it to us told us a few interesting things about it: (1) It instantly blisters skin on contact (2) it's very expensive to buy over the internet because it has to be shipped as a hazardous materiel. (3) Not only is it good for eating, but it works great as a caustic agent for degreasing driveways, engines, etc.

Yes I know it's done by no talent kids or minimum wage people, but the average consumer does not know that. They still think that it's all in the cost of the equipment and has nothing to do with skill and experience.
Yup. I had a friend that bought Photoshop CS2 for the NoiseNinja plugin... I pointed out one day that he could have bought Noiseninja as a stand alone and skipped paying the several hundred for Photoshop and he about freaked.
I see a 12 megapixel image in hand of a before and after and not a tiny less than 400 pixel overcompressed youtube video.
I have seen this automatic stuff before and when you look carefully at it it's not very clean unless you re-sample down to 1/4 the resolution or go small for web use.. it's never clean enough to print out at 11X17 or larger.
They upload the new program, it sits in storage and then is checked, if OK then they schedule a time to do the software install. if the software installs wrong it falls back to the last known good program.
It's like a motherboard with "crash proof" or "dual bios" but with a lot of checking and waiting and testing.
