Now that's an argument that I can get behind. I don't personally think that anybody needs/should own automatic weapons. Although in the context of a militia, they would be necessary in this day and age. But I don't agree with limiting rights in anyway. Once one right is abridged, then you start treading on dangerous grounds. Take away guns, and then you risk losing free speech, trial by jury, so on and so forth. This is my problem with gun control.
The ideas of anthrax, nuclear weapons, so on and so on are stupid arguments. The second amendment clearly states guns. Not weapons of mass destruction. A gun can be single-shot (more accurate), or a fully-automatic (much less accurate, but hell when you shoot 60 shots or more in one pull, how accurate do you have to be?).
What it proves is that you can reasonably disagree with a scientist's theory, and you shouldn't be carried out and strung up as a heretic. You very rarely hear a story where the scientists go, oh yeah, we were right on about that. Everyday more and more scientists are proved incorrect.
Now that actually deserves to be modded informative. Of course the biggest aspect you forget to include in your theorems is that it requires a higher intelligence to "program" this, hence creationism.
The news media wouldn't want you to be upset byt eh 173 Billion. That's why it's never mentioned. I still argue that no company is too big to fail. I'm not even sure what the criteria is used here?
We were in the market for a new TV, and decided that since Circuit City was going out of business we would check it out. After walking in their and then double checking Target, Target was much cheaper even after taking the 20% discount off of Circuit City's price.
Hence, I'm not sorry to see them go.
Depends on if we're actually in a matrix like world, or not. In the Matrix, the robot overlords notice, and must program something new. If not, then probably not.
Marijuana is a drug, and it is illegal (whether I agree or not). And he is completely free to use it, and suffer the consequences. Like losing millions of dollars, and other losing his swimming contract.
It's people like you that voted for Obama and will piss away my freedoms.
Sorry, I won't be able to reply because my karma will go to negative after this post.
I agree with the comments on why companies would not adopt this. The cheapest power cord I can find for my wife's laptop is $80. A little ridiculous. At least I can jury rig it to work until I come up with the money for a new laptop.
To quote Jurassic Park, "Nature will find a way." If you leave the plants alone they will adapt to their environments. By the way, nobody cares enough about plants to save them.
I didn't make the switch because at the time we had Satellite, but now we don't and I'm screwed.
Not really, I will buy the box when it goes all digital. I wish I had gotten the coupons, but I'll deal with paying the $40 dollars for one.
I've had DirecTv for the last few years, but I got tired of paying for it. We switched to OTA TV because it was free and we get all of our local stations. We actually watch shows that are interesting now, and I don't have to complain that there is nothing on my over 200 channels. I'm annoyed that I didn't get the converter coupon, but at the time we didn't need it.
Of course we bought a Wii for the kids for Christmas so we hardly watch TV anymore.
Wow, somebody on Slashdot that doesn't beleive everything the liberal media puts out. I wish we had more Americans like you. Then the economy probably wouldn't be so bad.
I'm not opposed to renting software I need, but if I had to rent the OS by the hour, how much would it cost me just to install it? Probably almost as much to buy it.

You sir are correct. Except in the historical context of a militia at the time it's easy to infer that they meant guns, not polearms or nuclear bombs.

This is the crap that get's modded up. That's not interesting. Creationism is no more unscientific than evolution. You can't prove or disprove either.

You have a girlfriend, lucky bastard.
Oh, is that why you get 1 minute of actual plot in any crime show, and 1 hour of here's how we catch the guy?
I resent that remark, some of us are slinging cardboard at each other.

Cause they would just pick Mexico and come back over the border. Or make millions more playing their political game.

No worries, they get free cable and satellite in prison. Over the air tv is too good for them.

Besides the Irish, name one other group of terrorists?
