    If you are a crook that does illegal things in that state wouldn't most them carry a small gps scrambler in their car's to prevent such tactic's from happening to them? if so then what is the point of this ruling then?

    if you seen the offer they didn't say unlimited for a long time, it said "high speed" so people that thought unlimited were kinda moron's cause it had a clause in the TOS or AUP about usage, most didn't enforce it til now.

    a lot of Linux distro's use bt. torrents were made to be used for legitimate transfer of files that ended up gettin used for illegal things. Kinda like guns, they were original made for things like hunting, but ppl use them them for illegal things so might well ban gun's complete all over the world.

    Oh and to justify it to the boss, I'd cite the recent court case which states ISPs may not discriminate against P2P traffic. i.e. It's effectively illegal to filter traffic, but not illegal to implement metered usage such that customers reduce usage voluntarily.

    how is a cap voluntarily? its you can only use this or get your connection killed?

    you probably don't figure they have a exact copy of the encrypted data stored on their end of things just so if they appeal the ruling and win to get the key, you can't give them somethin else

    just a thought, a good idea. have MS bring a laptop in to the court room, or a couple of them with a clean install of windows without IE and let them TRY to browse the internet and see what happens.

    then opera will still have a hissy fit since you have to install IE anyway cause without it less you have other browser already downloaded, most people don't know any other way to download say firefox or what ever and they are back in same boat as this bs lawsuit has them in already

    I read the story of this, the parents are charged with child endangerment and they put the 2 children in protective custody. All i got to say on that is GOOD. If you are a parent that lets your 6 year old kid play any game like GTA you should just be shot imo.

    dim Witt, out power was out for 37 hours a few days ago and we ran our generator like that and it works perfectly fine. AND No you won't be running everything in your house you have to take it easy not to kill the generator.

    2ndly if you do use a male-to-male to plug in to a wall outlet to get power in ur house, DO NOT use a plug with a GFI it don't allow power to go that way

    i was without power for 36 hours and we have a 5000 watt generator with 2x 120 volt plugs and 2 220volt. ur best option is get an external plug like in garage for 220 volt so you can hook the generator up and it will provide power to the whole house. NOW keep in mind you have to watch how much you run cause say you got a well and a water pump that can draw quite a bit, in our case its a 220volt so, then you got fridges and etc. when you do run the generator using a male to male plug you have to turn off the main on your power box so the power you get form the generator is not sent out on the lines to other house's.

    When are these idiot developers going to get their heads around this? DRM DOES NOT WORK! All it does is force people who value the contents of their PC to not buy their titles.

    DRM works to a point, but when it gets to punishing legit users like spore did with limited installs then it has gone to far. That push some ppl to piracy and ppl that do stay legit download the pirated crack for game to get around the bull crap.

    well its a sad fact, and they think cause they send a notice to the isp they should roll over and take the (@#* and give up users accounts info on nothing more then an allegation. They believe cause they are big companies their word is a good as DNA evidence in these cases. Least some isp's like iinet won't roll over and screw their customers over on evidence even i could tear apart in court, and i am as quality to be a lawyer as i am to be a nuclear reactor tech
