    yea, companies like Ironclad Games and valve are some the very few that don't see their customers are pirates until proven other wise. With that ideal valve will survive long past most.

    With everyone mad when gas for 4$ a gallon the in the US, if we had a flood of cards getting this kinda of millage, what do you all think would happen with gas prices?

    its called the 5th amendment rights. Since its not a physical key to like a safe, its something stored in your head. You use your right for a speedy trial on them using military grade encryption they will have to let you go since they won't break it that fast.

    on windows swap file always gets used but in terms of the general rule of 2x the ram you have, now days you don't, i have 4gb ram and i been using 2gb swap for years with 0 problems

    problem with a lot of DRM is causes more problems on end users machine. crashing, BSOD, slow downs, etc. and if they went back to simplier model they would be fine. hell only company that really has the problem for most part figured out is valve.

    That and wow uses online account system, so you login to an account and if its legit and active it will let you play, if not it tell's ya to f off cause you didn't play for an online account. DRM in a game like that is pointless, just like guildwars. it don't have any drm, you install it make an account online register the cd key that's it.

    what help's both sides win atm, since they won't give up on drm quickly, buy the game and use the warez cracked exe with it. no drm bs and they get their money. its a win win

    wifi and chipset are not the power hungry thing on the laptop, its the lcd screen that uses more power then rest the laptops parts combined on avg

    yea and "The PRC says it 'owns exclusive rights to the broadcast of all audio and video content via online and mobile distribution channels across Mainland China' and wants to protect it from 'piracy.'" so outside china is all fair game, and mediasentry can't do much outside of California in the US anyway due to the fact of no licenses to investigate anything.

    this sounds like a ploy so info they put out they can still hide it for most part from people that need to know by making a small 1 sentence about it with a small link that less you read the entire site word for word you will miss it. so they can claim "o we posted a notice about it so if you had problems and didn't get it fixed or caused you injury is not out problem"

    they think its cause people are cheap, but they put out shit and price it so much and most won't pay for it if its not worth it. i'll admit i download games, and try them out to see if they are even worth the ~50$ price tag they stick on it. if it is i will pay money and buy it, but most games and most music for that matter aint barely worth the cd/dvd they are burned on

    a lot of what it comes down to, is a lot of the judges are older people that don't know much about computers cept enough to use one for the basics then you get a so-called "expert" to use fancy terms and they judge don't have a clue what most it means and get slammed. Other part is most the defendant's can't afford to fight a multi-billion dollar company and get short shit end of the stick

    to use touch screen means you gotta touch the monitor, which leaves oils on it and makes blurry of the picture, so you will end up having to clean it every day hench the company that makes the cleaner is gonna make $$$ off it
