    Differing definitions of local? I live in a (small) city, and I can buy quite a few things from local shops that are hard to come by online, either because searching is difficult (some electronics parts) or the product isn't really easy to deliver in small quantities (artisan cheese). If you're talking about local in terms of a shitty small town then you probably have one shop that does it's best, but it's never going to stock very much is it?

    That's exactly how it works in the UK, you can pay for private care if you want, but who would? Only an idiot as the free care is excellent and it's obvious that once you start paying for health care it's the thin edge of the wedge that will try and drive us to American healthcare hell.

    Any driver with half a clue should know to within 5 mph how fast they are going at any given time just by sight, those with more experience should be able to tell from the sound of the engine and the gear you're in.

    I drove for several months with a broken speedo cable, besides being slightly nervous near police I had no problems at all.
