    Yes. $1667. But this is all without taking inflation or current cost into account. Anyway, it does get complicated really fast, so I understand utilities say "pay for it".

    But sometimes it does suck when 1 person pays for a powerline to be brought in, with the neighbours not wanting to pitch in. Only to have them hook up power a few weeks later at little cost.

    OTOH, I find the 3D perspective useful in that it allows me to see further "ahead", while not wasting screenspace on what is "behind".

    Wrong. At worst the police will *still* say it's in your possession and arrest you anyway.

    This guy found the gun in his back garden, which is worse. This, depending on local law, probably means it *is* in his possession even if he isn't there.

    As an aside, I think possession laws that don't take intent into account... well, there should be no such laws.

    I run as a limited user in XP. Since +-2005 most windows software performs correctly without admin rights. And since +-2006 virtually all windows software performs correctly without admin rights.

    A privacy policy that states in one location that you will never disclose private info to third parties, and it states in another that you might disclose private information. That's really just up to a judge to decide.

    It's not relevant whatever the school did or did not do. The newspaper released PII, he can sue based on that alone. I have no idea if there is (for instance) a statutory fine for that, but there very well might be.

    Malicious libel? Consult your damn lawyer first. See if you can sue.
    Spam? Again, consult your lawyer if you can sue with that american CAN-SPAM thingy.
    Somebody shit-talking on your site? Delete the post and ban them.

    Don't go breaking your own privacy policy. People will stop trusting you, and it may land you in hot water in some jurisdictions. In some other jurisdictions it will land you in boiling water.

    The privacy policy is wrong there. An IP address (even without a time-frame) is potential PII, and should thus be treated as PII.

    Part of the problem I have with Kurt Greenbaum's actions is that I would not have been asked to clear out my desk if I did anything similar. My desk would have been cleared out for me.

    Releasing PII is definite no-no.

    Unlikely that the alert will be ingame. More likely the game will exit to the console's dashboard where the alert will be displayed.
