I did as well, but for a differnt reason. I went from 3 Viewsonic 21" monitors to 3 Compaq 19" TFT's because of headaches.
I switched everyone in the company to LCD's, and people that had problems with headaches (accountant, ISO Quality Control) all got 19" TFT's. The headaches went away almost immediately, and haven't returned.
You could replace him with an baboon and get better results...
See, that the trouble with Hollywood. They have the budget for an infinite number of Monkeys thing.
Up here in Canada, all our TV industry has the budget for is like 1000 monkeys, and all they churn out is some Steven King novels translated into Sanskrit.
What if it is accesible? I found out about Suprnova from someone here. If there was another.torrent site, but using gopher, not the web, google searches wouldn't find it. What would be the difference in a work of mouth, or IRC campaign giving a gopher link rather than http? One could just gopher://somebitorrentsite.com/ to get the list instead of http://.
TV Studios are missing the ball here. If they put up torrents of shows that aren't available in all markets, they could get more market penetration for far less cost.
The ads could be left intact in the shows. I know my computer and TV are in different rooms, and I'd be too damn lazy to get up and foreward them.
Hey, I'm part Albertan, so lay off with your embarrasing pseudo-ebonics.
I get very weary of the Rest Of Canada painting us with the North Texas Red Neck Alberta Separatist brush. We aren't all King Ralph, nor Tommy Douglas.
Still, those 'conservative' values you refer to undoubtedly have more in common with Montana and Texas than coastal BC
Perhaps, but we are all still Canadian. Right now, the Ontairo/Quebec/RestOfCanada differences have to be put aside to counter influences from the south. Once we are a stronger country again, we can be on a more level field with our cousins down south. Follow me: http://www.vivelecanada.ca.;)
Importantly, while Canada in general is not a US lapdog, it's pretty safe to say that Alberta is--our very own 'red state.'
Speak for your self, bitch. As an Albertan, I am Canadian first. We may be more conservative that the rest of Canada, but we are far from being Republican.
Peter Loughheed may have sold us out, and Steven Harper may want to continue that, but we see what NAFTA, Mad Cow, Softwood Lumber, live Hog and Wheat tarrifs have done, and we are not impressed.
Yes, true. I've seen an airplace fly at high altitude, and leave no visible contrail. But the heat from the jet caused a visible contrail 'shadow', like heat rising from pavement on a hot day . The strange thing was, you couldn't see it by looking directly at it, more of a peripheral vision thing. It looked very similar to the picture.
If, in the picture, the sun was only out for a few seconds during the picture, the shadow would have been visible as in the picture. That's exactally what I thought of when I saw that picture.
If your computer has a IP address; your Microsoft is probably infected with a virus horse from one of the internets.
First 3 times I read that, I thought it was a popup ad that somehow got through Firefox.;) I think it was more the "Colourless brown dog sleeping furiously" defence.
For Load They should max out the system slightly above the recommended specs and see how well it handles it.
Not a bad idea, but all I see is the manufacturer lowering the maximum specs to any tests will show it 'overachieving'.
What I'd like rated is the support side. My AS/400s self detect hardware problems, phone IBM to report the problem, and a tech is dispatched. The IBM support centre phones me to tell me the system detected a problem, and that a tech is on the way. Usually the tech shows up with parts in hand inside an hour. Before the hardware has caused any downtime! I've never had a catastrophic failure on an AS/400.
Good support, redundant and hot swappable hardware, like RAM, makes for the best big iron. Low to no downtime are just as important as throuput and storage.
None of this "I'm late because of my sick daughter" crap.
One day, you and people like you are going to have to decide if all you want to be is a consumer; Is everything you do with the focus of earning money to buy things. Or, are you going to stop along the road and enjoy things like the innocence in your childs eyes.
You decide, work like the Japanese and die an early death from the stress, or live and love longer and enjoy yourself along the way.

I'll bet this law could be tossed out easily. How can you prevent something from being used illegally?

My head hurts.
Thanks for the link BTW.
My passwords are the names of my illegitimate children. By the time they figure it out, I'll be long gone anyhow.
Isn't that ironic?
(yea, yea, I know, not irony!)

Legally, this is still timeshifting.
A website that no one can find isn't likely to generate any hits. It would, however, not be at risk of being taken down.
Why doesn't someone set up a non-searchable site, using gopher: rather than http:?

Just FYI - Futureshop is owned by BestBuy.

That was my first impression as well. The shadow of the contrail wouldn't have been visible long, if the sun was behind a cloud.
You say that like it's a bad thing. They DDoS my inbox, loading pages that they ask me to visit sounds fair.

11606, why? (You knew that was coming as soon as you posted, right ;)
