If you can't access playstore, get a friend who can to make backups of the apps, and copy them over to a microsdcard and install the apps from the card.
THIS.
My wife and I have tablets which will access the Play Store.
Our daughter has a tablet which will not access the Play Store. This was intentional, because we want to vet what she uses on the tablet.
When we have an app that our daughter likes, I use SaveAPK on my tablet to export the apk file and then copy it to her tablet across the network.
Problem: much wealth of the people you would likely consider "rich" is invested in real estate and investment vehicles such as stocks and bonds and various funds.
Now let us look at a hypothetical:
I have 1 billion dollars of holdings. This is the equivalent of a savings account, but with a better rate of return. My investments return a broad average of 5 percent. I spend the entire 5% on consumables during the course of the year; none is re-invested.
Am I to be taxed only on my returns? That means paying taxes on only 5% of my total wealth. That isn't much tax revenue for the.gov .
Am I to be taxed on the entire 1 billion, to include real properties? If so, that means savings can be taxed. Not only the savings of the "rich", but also your granny's Christmas Club account and the equity you have in your house and your car.
What is to be taxed, and how? Who determines this?
The flat tax only seems simple if you don't stop to think about it.
However, I _would_ like to see a working implementation.
After rimming, a shot may be required... ...to clean out yo mouf, muthafucka!
You fucking racist!

I have four machines on the network at the moment.
3 are Linux boxes, one is an XP box.
The XP box is only present to run my crappy Lexmark AIO printer and for Office 2003 .doc compatibility.
The desktop is a place to keep your jumping-off points:
- links to programs that you really do use constantly
- symlinked directories (shortcut folders for you wintendo people) to your main work
- todo lists and possibly some sort of scheduler applet (rainlendar ftw!)
The inane desktop clutter of links to free smilies and whatever crap Google and Yahoo are pushing these days is... *insert adjective*

Also, poor people should, in fact, get off their asses.
As a person who grew up in a Protestant household, I would like to add that most American Christians are uninspired by Christ.
"Why don't Baptists make love standing up?"
"Because people might think they are dancing!"
*Roar of laughter from the crowd.*
"I grew up Baptist, but am ordained Universalist. Want to know why?"
"Because I wanted to leave the liquor store through the FRONT door!"
*Roar of laughter from the crowd.*
The machines in front of me right now:
Dell Inspiron 600m laptop, Ubuntu 10.04, circa 2003
Gateway 400SD4 laptop, Ubuntu 8.04, circa 2003
Intel Dual-core Pentium desktop of unknown make, Ubuntu 8.04 circa 2006
They do what I need, and parts are crazy cheap.
Neat! Thanks for the heads-up.
This!!
LOL true dat.
Recently downgraded the wife's old desktop machine (Dell Dimension 2400) from Ubuntu to Windows XP for Excel/Office compatibility.
It took almost 2 days to get all the updates installed for Windows and Office.

When you say that they "love" the phone books, do you mean "they are quite fond of them" or do you mean "they make sweet love down by the fire"?
One is sort of odd, the other is quite disturbing.
I believe that a bit of clarification is in order.
But if you want someone who isn't afraid of cold-calling, Mormons are a safe bet.
There is a reason they live in expensive houses and can afford to have 67482368 children.

Those Responsible for Sacking the People Who Have Just Been Sacked, Have Been Sacked.
The holocaust goes like so:
Allies cut Axis supply lines.
200 metric fucktons of people die of starvation in the concentration camps.
The starvation of the German army, and by extension their prisoners, was an unfortunate necessity to end the war.
Allied countries avoid huge PR nightmare by blaming the deaths on Germany, using a fabricated story involving poison gas and ovens.
Nobody really minds if Hitler takes the blame because Hitler was a dick.
Histories are written by historians.

It works very well.
I got a Cobalt Tab s700 for Xmas, and use it at work quite a bit.
Found a pair of USB-powered external speakers on sale at Wallyworld; they plug into the tablet's USB port and 3.5mm jack.
Good sound, very loud, and can run for about 2 hours before needing to recharge.
The idea of a flat tax rate is quite appealing.
