#1 Make a Tivo that has a wireless card built it. #2 TCP/IP Support (No more phone line use) #3 Built in Apache with web based admin for scheduling and downloading shows for archive
Tivo was the first to market, if they just kept up with the trends they will be fine. I know there are legal ramifications for some of these, but we know the technology is there. It will happen, so why not be first? (All of these are already availible as aftermarket mods)
"Microsoft also warned today that the era of "open computing," the free exchange of digital information that has defined the personal computer industry, is ending."
Haven't they been saying this for oh um... 5 years now?
The weakest point any in system is and always will be the people running it and / or administrating it.
This kind of technology is a bit of a waste. The time and money would be much better spent on education and implementation of methodologies to minimize the risk of a break in, and how to handle it when it happens. (Because chances are, sooner or later, IT WILL) No matter how many firewalls or dual cable IDEs you have.
Galadriel's Gif-Giving Scene. As the elves prepare to leave Lothlorien, Elf Queen Galadriel bestows a special gift upon each of the nine members of the Fellowship.

More footage from the Green Dragon Inn, with Peregrin "Pippin" Took, and Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck happily singing Hobbit songs.

An extended sequence of the Fellowship's departure from Rivendell.

And also:
Composer Howard Shore has returned with his Academy Award winning score and recorded 50 minutes of new music with the London Philharmonic for the special extended edition set!
Weta Digital has returned and contributed all new effects shots for the deleted scenes.
In addition to the 3 and a half hour feature, presented on 2 discs, the set will include 2 MORE discs packed with features not on the August release of the disc! This is includes production team commentaries, production documentaries, & interactive featurettes covering the film adaptation from "book to vision" and "from vision to reality"!
I wonder how many people will actually watch the two extra discs. Regardless, its worth the wait if you ask me.
"Falun Gong's recorded telephone message... claimed the Government had fabricated the incident in which three Falun Gong supporters set themselves alight in Tiananmen Square in January 2001."
I believe this only the begining of China's hacking problem. An oppresive government is a breeding ground for groups like this. I only wish hacking groups in America had more politcal agendas then Yahoo or your favorite airline.
I find it odd, that all these states (and Countries) are doing these things to help their local economies. But if you look at the raw numbers, its really just help the corporations, not the little guys that are receiving the bennefits.
I find the humor in the fact that people are still following and for lack of a better term worshiping the Amiga platform even though there has been any real support for it for years. For its time it was way ahead of the game, but as of now, its way dated.
I don't like the casting job they did for Paul, he seems like a bit of a spoiled brat in this flick. Also, without reading the book I would have been completely lost. They're cutting all the wrong parts out, most notably, the begining.
I saw the first movie before the reading the book, and I loved it. This I'm having serious doughts about. I have never seen a decent movie made by the Sci Fi channel.
Since when is Caffine the drug of choice for Geeks? Maybe its a west coast thing. I've worked at three different web companies, and I've never seen this fascination with caffine. Beer and the big M yes I have seen. But whats with caffine, it gives you a rush and then makes you tired. Drink juice or eat a power bar to stay awake, trust me, you feel much better in the morning.
From what I understand about this business, this is how its structure.
Company X needs a T3, it costs 30k to run the cable the 2 miles to their building. They structure the cost to be 1250$ a month. In two years they make their money back.
But when Company Y comes along that sits next to Company X, they get charged the same, and so does company Z and Q.
(1250 * 4 * 24) - 30k = 300% profit.
Not to say these guys shouldn't make money, but common.

I want to see Cobra vs GI Joe...
Now that would be a fight..
oh wait.
I would like to see what happens when it tries to vacum the sick cat or dog's puke off the floor when your not home.
"The more you tighten your grip, *Microsoft* , the more *computers* systems will slip through your fingers."
"What next - a bill to disallow modifying your PC ?"
Yeah, there isn't much a different between your desktop and your cell phone at all.

So am I now going to need a Linux partition to play games?
Wouldn't that be funny.

A technology that may actually HURT the porn industry!
That post shut a lot of people up.
I'm confused... I've got 2 episodes so far:

Funny, I always though it was all the drugs I did that gave me a bad memory.
Microsoft and Starbucks joining up? Neither of which are very good, but have a good marketing campaign. What a perfect match!

Unlike cars, computers get better every year.

I've had this problem too and it had to do with feedback in my electrical system. Try grounding your PC to your head unit.
Has anyone checked out:

I'm thinking about buying it.
