Do you get the healthcare after paying the fine, or do you get to buy health insurance like you would if you were fined for not having car insurance? If it's the latter, I don't care how cheap the fine is. As long as the fine (A) is > $0, A + premium > premium. Unless you plan on not having insurance for 10 years, getting sick, then going "Oh, sorry, have $1000, get me a premium and fix me!"
In 10 or 20 years it won't matter for my grandfather, my mum will be a l33t h4x0r, and my dad can carry on "hunt and peck" typing until he wears down his index fingers into stumps and can't type anymore.
My mum uses "The Internet." I had to rename the IE shortcut on the desktop so she'd stop asking me how to get onto the internet.
This box caused me no end of hassle with my grandfather thinking he had a virus, my mum asking what was on the other internets, and my dad passing all of these calls on to me because he's sick of explaining it.
It's a big F*** You to Europe. It'll irritate so many people that we'll hate Europe for making MS do it. I already do.
I'd be impressed if it did window overlay instead.
TV in background, browsing window (able to be resized / moved around screen) overlayed. Windows 7 does it with XP Mode (VM runs as a background to the app window, essentially having the whole VM invisible behind the one app window). That would be impressive.
I use Linux at home and work. I just put it on my g/f's laptop too, after giving her a USB stick to trial it out with. Further, I'm considering putting it on the workstations here with the Edubuntu package. I might even end up re-doing all of the vocal work so it's not a slightly-too-squeeky French woman talking in English
They say that you should put your money where your mouth is: I did, and I now have £150 I wouldn't otherwise have (2 x Windows 7 Home license).
True, but the true trolls (GNAA, shoe salesmen, pr0n writers) make it difficult to read this site while at work and on a break. Hell, my job involves a lot of sitting around sometimes (not a coder) and I can be here quite often, for short periods.
Seeing one GNAA post is enough to set the word filter on fire. I have the Hobson's Choice of browsing at +3.
Because for some reason, creators are under the impression that they should be able to sell the original for multiple thousands of $currency, and that it's a god-given right that it's the case.
Art used to be created because it was commissioned by a wealthy person for their own enjoyment, or it was performed live to a crowd in a venue (if popular) or on the street (busking). Money was made by selling tickets to performances or as small tokens of appreciation given to buskers. It was a living, but not a millionaire-making position. Now that this artwork can be captured and replicated without cost, that model is out of date. One performance is shown worldwide without any benefit to the artist. Only those doing commissioned work will benefit by the old model.
The new way is to give your artwork away and to receive tokens, much like the busker, but from a much larger audience than you could fit into any theatre. One artist on Jamendo with 50k listeners giving £5 each will pay a band of 5 £50k EACH. That's a very decent wage.
The trick is to get everyone out of the mindset of buying media and sharing it for free; Get them into this system instead.
Oh, and sell merchandise and do live gigs to improve donations. I'd write more but my attention span is limited. I hope you get the idea.
Wrong joke.
You get Quantum film developed at Black Mesa Laboratories. Don't expect cake while you wait.
I wonder if that site would set off the text filter...
I think kdawson has taken over all of the editor accounts. The whole site is starting to look like reprints of Daily Mail headlines.
Ok, so the fine is cheaper than the premium.

Problems solved.

Yeah, but you can still get a tan with factor 30.
That's because Opera is heavy duty.
Do they get mailed to you?
At the same address you used for the last card?
I was thinking one of two things here:
- "How did you know my account numbers?"
- "That's the same code I use on my luggage!"
Please, delete as appropriate.
I'll never look at a diabolo the same way again.
Be super-french and pronounce it "Viroo"
She might think it means virile and she gets another baby.

So stand yourself, or suggest it to a friend who you think would make a good job of it.
It's how the system works.

Yes. I was DirtyKate.
Secretly, the joke's on him!
Why can't they benefit from other works by the same person?
Remember that an original is not the same as a print or a photograph, or the Mona Lisa would be worthless by now.

This has nothing to do with patriotism, and nobody is talking about ending another's life over a computer game protection system.
Maybe it's why he's got so much time to post on Slashdot...
