Some hardware manufacturers don't employ devs who code for Linux. It's a shame, but hey, that's an extra cost. Linux doesn't yet have the market share to warrant employing dedicated devs to write drivers for Linux (please bare in mind the many, many distros, dependencies, package types, kernel revisions which drivers would need to be developed for. Source code is great, but I don't want the hassle of compiling it thanks).
It's an infinite regression paradox. Devs need to code for existing hardware to increase uptake, which then need support from vendors with newer versions. More uptake is needed to increase the viability of dev time... The trouble is nobody wants to go first.
Sorry, prior art. "The most likely derivation of the word troll can be found in the phrase "trolling for newbies," popularized in the early 1990s in the Usenet group, alt.folklore.urban (AFU)." Citation.
I'd sue you, but I think sueing for patent infringement has been patented.
Agreed. Demos which come with half of the content locked don't represent the full enjoyment to be had from the game.
Best demo ever? Shareware Doom. First episode, all the through. How many copies did it sell? 1.1mil. 8th highest sales through '93 to '00. That was when mainstream PC gaming was STARTING.
I listen to music on YouTube posted by record companies (example) or from Jamendo. I buy music I like from a record store. Movies are rented from my local Blockbuster, but I might start using a postal service like Netflix to save some cash. I watch iPlayer for TV shows; Commercial interrupted programs don't interest me. I bought Windows XP and all of the games I play on it. I use a lot of F/OSS for the rest of it (OpenOffice, Paint.NET, AVG).
You entirely missed my point. You can't STEAL something without a loss being incurred. "... the illegal taking of another person's property without that person's freely-given consent." That person still has the property. Nothing was stolen.
Get off your high horse and discuss the topic instead of ranting like an imbecile.
Steal: Syn - Thieve To Thieve is to deprive of property without permission. Deprivation requires loss. Copying a file does not cause the loss of the original. Downloading the copy does not cause the loss of the original, or the copy.

One.
Load three FF windows and check task manager if you like.
mod parent +1 Abouttobedisappeared.
Troll? Seriously?
I guess intelligence isn't a prerequisite for mod points.
Mod parent funny (already commented).
Those god damn Muslims and their knives!
But the patent lasts forever.
Come back in an hour. America is just waking up.
Hab SoSlI' Quch!
What about if you borrow the drill, make an exact duplicate in your magic-no-raw-materials copying machine, and give him his shovel back?
What if he can have access to anything he wants from you magic-no-raw-materials copying machine?
Is it still stealing?

Yeah, it's rape.
They violated my open FireFox with their dirty corporate extension.
If I really want my phone off, I take the battery out. Then again, I don't do anything remotely interesting enough to get attention.

I don't think i'll play those games.
However, i'll buy them anyway. JUST to prove their point, and show my support.
It's the same reason why send money to the people who make SpyBot, the Mozilla project, Paint.NET, and the other F/OSS I use.
People like me?

Expected 2010 budget.
Weren't we doing that before?
Last time I checked, my tax partly went to the CPS, Police, and other public services.
Would you prefer it if they did this anyway, but just put up income tax by £20 to make up for it without telling you?
Northern Rock gave their staff a 10% bonus.
They did it because they were on target in paying back the £26BILLION from the tax payer to bail them out after being nationalised.
Sickening.

You forgot "thinking of the childern" aka paedophilia.
Included will be a voucher for your trial version of Duke Nukem Forever.
Also, a calendar going up to 2050 specifying exactly the year of "Linux on the Desktop."
Flamebait? His point about the people from the 60's is valid. If you disregard the very last sentence, which is pretty flipant, it's insightful.
