... and it shows they really want the xbone to succeed, even if it involves a complete 180. No matter the complaints over the metro interface in Win8, the only fix they're working on is to make the Metro interface extra sparkly and loaded with bullshit features non of the Desktop users need or want in 8.1. Goes to show that Windows 8 needs a real competitor to make MS work for the money.
It's sad to see how consumers have been lulled into an accepting stupor. Back when they planned on having weapon DLC for the Bad Company games some years ago, shit hit the fan. Now they get away with releasing a Dead Space game with a bunch of DLC options and I suspect that Battlefield 4 will take it to new level.
Damnatio memoriae is impossible, especially in a free society. Murderers did drop off the radar without few traces back in communist Russia and East Germany tho. Are you ready to give away some freedoms so the the evildoers may be forgotten?
From the small sample size I can work with (that is my friends that do play games). I would guess nobody cares because the controller is pants taco retarded. That's about it. Most people are semi-excited about what sort of games Nintendo might bring to the console. But any hope is crushed when one realizes that most games will have gameplay mechanics based around the controller shoehorned into them.
Also, I suspect that a majority of 3rd party titles will be a bunch of rehashed ports. Nobody will design a new exclusive title that is built around the controller for a new console with less hype surrounding it than the PS VITA.
But to me, this is akin to a restaurant being threatened with fines for not directing some of the customers to its competitors. The search engine industry should advertise like everyone else, or offer superior service.
... When you can go straight to Godwin's Law comparisons. Also, the impish side of my wants to try to game the system by asking my friends to vouch for 'Große Gobblecoq' being *totally* legit.
"Almost all"? Time to live in the now! Because it looks like you're from the 80's or somethin'. A majority of European countries have professional armies today.
In 2006 Swedish police in Örebro took a brute force approach in the hunt for a rapist known as 'Hagamannen' and *forcefully* tested 777 men before they finally found him. It was quite the circus and became something of a witch-hunt type affair where any tip from the public resulted in a summons for DNA testing.
I actually know some weird folks that still use their old Xbox machines for XBMC. So even if the Ouya fails, it'll still live on for years if it only gets XBMC ported to it.
I commented on the amount of pirated downloads, sorry if that was unclear. What I meant to say is that 4 million (or 3.9mil in the article) seems like a very conservative estimate.
Only four millions? Sounds a tad low. The powers that be should live in the now and get with the program. Roll out a Crunchyroll type service so that anyone/anywhere can pay and watch their shows without arbitrary boundaries and restrictions. In today's interconnected world it is *unthinkable* to wait a week or a month... Heck even hours to watch the latest TV series and I suspect there is a sizeable and growing amount of purists among European viewers that refuse to watch the dubbed versions.
The old media distribution systems need to fuck off and die already.
I try to use GIMP, I really do. But it's so far removed from how normal software of its type works I end up feeling gimped. It's borderline maddening to work with.
Sanal Edamaruku, the man mentioned in the article is already a bit of a celebrity in sceptics circles. Read the Wikipedia page on him and check Youtube for the "Tantra Challenge".
What worries me a little about the kickstarters is that few of them actually have something to show for themselves, with The Banner Saga being a good exception.
Nobody knows what Double Fine's adventure game will look like right now and I'm willing to bet that some fans of the classic pixel art games might get disappointed if they use a Psychonauts style art direction and vice versa.
Having a middle-aged white guy with a classic game track record to show off is fine, but show some art, explain the basic game mechanics. Paint a picture for the potential customers.

So I'm doing my part!
I ate whale meat some 12 years ago. I remember a heavy nutty/liver taste to it. Other than that, pretty similar to a very dense steak.
Lies! Dirty lies! Windows 8 delivered everythagfhahahaaha heheheh. Can't keep a straight face.
I'm obviously not cut out for marketing.
Get rid of original sin? That's like getting rid of the 'One Ring' from Lord of the Rings.
The entire narrative rests on this plot device.

So wassat? something cool? Lemme google that!
I never see bitcoin news in any other media and it gets far too much coverage here than it actually deserves.
... if that's what it takes to kickstart space exploration again... I'm all for it.
Concept reminds me of the the G.E.C.K. (Garden of Eden Creation Kit) from Fallout. Without the "just add water" deus ex machina.

I'll just disable it again.

Everything I do with windows I can do with Linux. Except for games... So Windows it is.

Bah! I hated on Apple before it was cool! Back when the Amiga was hot shit. :P
